I Am a Child of God

I am not strong enough to make it on my own.
I cannot stay upon my feet when His hands are gone.

Without His light to guide me, I would not find my way.
To keep his spirit with me, I pray everyday.

'Dear Heavenly Father' is how I lovingly start.
And then the words come tumbling out, straight from my heart.

I'm so thankful for every part of my day.
And I don't know if I can share all the words I want to say.

Sometimes I don't realize quite how blessed I've been.
And when I get back off my knees, I think about it again.

I have two loving parents, my siblings, and my home.
And with the support of The Lord, I don't have to make it alone.
