Depression

Depression is not a temporary issue.
It's not something that can be fixed wth a tissue.

It's not something you cover with a bandaid.
It's not something to be saved from, don't come to my aid.

It's not because I don't know my worth.
It's not because I regret coming to earth.

Depression is real and it's dark and it's wild.
It's something that is had by a grandma or a child.

It's a chemical imbalance found in the brain.
Therapy and meds can help us up again.

Don't tell me I'm divine and expect me to be okay.
I will be alright, but that's not the way.
