Thanks For Raising Me

Thank you very much
For the way that you raised me.
I wouldn't be the same
If you hadn't taught me patiently.

Together, you and I discussed
Everything under the sun,
I'm glad that I did that with you.
I don't do it with everyone.

And any time I needed you
You were by my side.
And I loved you every day
Even when you weren't so nice.

At the time I didn't know
What was good for me.
You taught me all of that
As you raised me lovingly.

Thank you for the hugs and kisses
You gave me every night,
And for teaching me the difference
Between wrong and right.

There is no one I would rather
Have as my own mother.
You are such a stellar parent,
Truly like no other.
