Twirl Me, Whirl Me

Spun so much, I might fall down.
I'll try not to trip.
Which you make easier when you guide
With such a firm and steady grip.

I might as well have two left feet
With the way I move,
But you are patient as you teach me
And my embarrassment is soothed.

Thank you for inviting me,
Though you're a proper show-off,
And the jokes you share with me
Just make me want to scoff.

Your humor reminds of someone else,
A little brother of yours.
I'll sit here and take a breath
While you and your girl sweep the floor.

Show the world what moves you've got
Till everyone wishes they were you or her.
You both are proper glamorous;
You've got nothing left to learn.
