Chapter Five.
"What the hell are you doing in my house? Leave at this instant before I call the cops for trespassing on my private property." Blake sneered at me.
"What do you not understand about 'I'm the new cook' "? I crossed my arms around my chest and glared back at him.
Dimwit assholic jerk.
"How do I know that you're not lying." He narrowed his eyes at me, as if I'm a fucking terrorist planning to blast his house off.
"Listen, fuckface. You can either believe me or you can just go and ask Liz."
"How do you know my mother? Wait, are you stalking my family?" He gasped. I rolled my eyes at him and stomped out of my room leaving a clueless Blake inside. I cannot imagine how can he be so thick headed. It wasn't like I was a psychopath who had an intention of vandalizing his jewels. I saw Liz sitting on the sofa in the living room and chatting with Ira and Cass.
"Do you plan to become a footballer? Like a professional player?" Liz asked inquisitively.
"Oh yes, I do." Cass smiled. She turned around and grinned at me. Gesturing me to come over, I made my way towards them and sat beside Ira.
"How are you feeling, Grace? I heard you're not well." Liz asked with concern. I looked at Cass who simply shrugged her shoulders and signaled me to start talking.
"Uh not really. I just caught a bug, I guess." I said with a nervous laugh. I scratched the back of my neck lazily and while they continued chatting about school.
"Mom! Mom! Where are you?" Blake's voice echoed in the hallways. Ira tried to stifle her laughter whilst Liz rolled her eyes.
"Stop yelling like a kid deprived of candies, Blake. I'm right here." Liz yelled. Blake peeped into the the living room and narrowed his eyes at me again.
"Wait, what are you still doing here? Didn't I ask you to leave?" Blake said adamantly.
"Why don't you ask Liz." I said calmly, though I wanted to vandalise his cute face. Cass, Ira and Liz looked between the two of us with confusion.
"Blake, what's going on?" Liz asked, as she got up from the sofa and put her hands on her hips. "I don't see any reason for you to be yelling like a caveman in the house." She said.
"What is she doing here? Is this some prank where you will say that all this is just a joke so that I can kick her sorry ass out." Blake said. Tears formed in my eyes after listening to Blake's intentions. I bit my lip in order to stop myself from crying in front of this jerk and giving him the satisfaction of seeing me like this. Like a weakling.
Liz opened her mouth to retort but Cass got up and glared menacingly at Blake.
"You have no right to talk about my sister in this way. The moment you open your mouth to talk shit about her, I will punch that pretty little face of yours. And take my threat seriously because I mean every word of it." Cass hissed at Blake, as she stood confidently in front of his tall stance. To say we all were shocked would be an understatement. Cass was never a loving kid, she liked violence and tough shit, but seeing her like this, threatening a guy probably five years elder to her who can easily kick her out at the moment was new.
