"It is a known fact that faeries are tricky, but they can not lie."

"Yes I am well aware of that," Quin sighed. We were back around the drawing board, trying to decipher the last few days' unsuccessful rescue mission. "And I think the questions were direct enough for him to answer truthfully. He didn't know about any Elf being abducted into Aos Si."

"And you think there can be other's that knows more?" I was met with frowns as I interceded, but Quin sent an appreciative smile.

"There are always others to know more."

After a short individual contemplation we started to brainstorm different possible perpetrators and eventual places where they might be holding the sought after Ty.

"Are you having a party and I'm not invited?"

Everybody was startled by the interruption and the men were instantly and respectfully on their feet.

"Mother, what are you doing here?" Quin didn't get more than that out.

"Juno!" I almost bolted from my chair and to everybody's surprise I walked right to the newly arrival and hugged her. "How lovely to see you again."

"Frances, you look extraordinary!" Juno hugged me back with a warm smile on her face.

"Mother, Frances, what is going on?" Both women turned to the accusatory tone to find a discontent Quin with his arms crossed over his chest. "How do you even know each other?" He got up and kissed his mother on the cheek.

"Of course your girl and your mother should know each other." The teasing tone from his mother's mouth made him grind his teeth.

"We are actually a little busy trying to solve a case of abduction here."

"And how is that working out for you?" Juno stood there with her arm around my waist.

"Your grace, please take a seat." The man sitting by Quin's right hand offered his chair to the newly arrived woman.

"Your grace? I have never met anyone as polite as you people." I snickered to myself but the mirth died by the severe look on everybody's face. Bemused I furrowed my brows.

"I am part of the blessed court." She waved her hand to accentuate how that was not important and I tried to picture this woman with the regal posture as some kind of judge. "The seelie court..." Juno prompted.

"Unseelie.." one of the men around the table said undignified.

Juno nailed him with her dark eyes. "We have fought for half a millennium to get rid of the racism in this realm. I will not hear such statements in my presence."

"I hope I haven't been disrespectful in my ignorance." I had heard of the Seelie court and felt ashamed about my tone. I was glad when Juno watched me with warm eyes. "It was not my intention."

She waved it off with a slight headshake. "I understand, sweetie."

"The others on the court are not exactly forthcoming towards us." The man still had a frown on his face and almost glared at Juno.

She on the other hand smiled sweet. "They accuse us of being evil, but the truth is that we're... decisive."

"Mother, if you would be so kind!" Quin's voice made everybody around the table flinch. "I appreciate your support, but I would really wish to find my friend before it is too late."
