"Who is Eirian?"
"Her forbearer's originate from Eir, the Goddess of healing."
We were now sitting up in bed, facing each other with no trace of sleepiness nearby. I blinked dumbfounded. A goddess? "How do you contact a goddess?" It was hard to say that without snarling that last word sarcastically.
"I thought you said she's been contacting you through the mirror?"
"My alter ego is a goddess?" I blinked surprised by this revelation.
"Well, if your father was a God; what does that make you?" he asked and I nearly froze. My brain couldn't come up with any answer because that was just too strange. "We should be glad that she's looking out for you."
I was still stunned to silence, but deduced my error. "You mean guardian angel, don't you?" I was certain it was a simple spooner, perhaps lost in translation?
He looked at me with brows pressed together. "Angels? There is no such thing!" he snorted and shook his head.
"But there are Gods?"
"Of course! Are you implying the Romans, the Greeks and the Norsemen were wrong?"
A feeling of being just a tiny little part in the great universe fell over me and I was embarrassed by my own humble opinion. "No..."
His face mirrored a feeling of victory, but he didn't imply anything verbally. He looked down in my notebook again.
"So where do God live?"
"Hmm?" He looked up, distracted in his task. "The gods lives in Vidblain."
"Another realm?" I deduced.
"Yes."
I grinded my teeth by his short answer. "A little more information please; how do we get there?"
He looked doubtful at me again. "We don't; it's their realm."
"But... But how can we get any answers if we can't get there?"
"We summon her," Ty shrugged.
"Of course," I murmured while wondering why priests hadn't done that centuries ago. Perhaps we could have cleared out minor issues like world hunger and world peace.
"She has contacted you through the mirror you said," he murmured while looking through the notebook. "Do you think any mirror will do, or do you need to get back to your mother's house?"
Once again I blinked surprised. "No, I think any mirror will do," I said abstracted while looking around; the only reflecting surface around was the silvery rivulet that trickled by. "The river would certainly due if it hadn't been so dark."
"Well, I think we need our beauty sleep before we're dealing with Eirian." Ty took the duvet and pulled it up around me. "Better tuck you in my lady."
My lady, I thought tart and rolled my eyes but wiggled comfortably down between the sheets. This camp felt unnecessary luxurious even if the transparent tent we had used earlier had been fantastic. The nerves reminded me that they were there, tickling and fluttering like butterflies in my stomach.
"We better sleep," he announced.
"Mmm..." I murmured, thinking how easy that would be, and turned my back on him. A gush of wind swept by, reminding me that we were outdoor and a shiver went through me.
