Logan (sweet)

---------------------------------------------

"What the hell do you mean you're in California?"

"I mean, I'm in the most populated state of the US. I mean I went home. I mean I came back to grab the last of my things and move it all up to the gloomy state of Washington to live with my so called, 'family'." Jessa said as if it was obvious and it probably was pretty obvious, maybe I'm just stupid.

"Wait a minute? You're staying?" My voice cracked slightly in shock since who would've thought that Jessa would have the balls to actually stay here with all of is in Seattle. I mean I knew that Jessa was stubborn as hell, but she's giving up everything that she might have had to live in the shitty state of Washington, where the suicide rate is the highest of all places.

"You say that like it's a bad thing Logan. Aren't you happy?"

"So if you're on The PCH right now, who am I supposed to hang out with before summer ends?"

"There's Remie and Jase." She suggested and I wanted to throw myself down a flight of stairs at the thought of hanging out with them.

"You're kidding, right?"

"Um, no?" I truly think that you should see what they're up to." I won't be back until the dead end of August and Telly is MIA so that just leaves the three of you guys."

"Jessa, that was probably the very worst idea you could've come up with." I threw my hands in my hair and tugged at the roots. "I can't believe you suggested that! Are you stupid?"

"Even if I am stupid, it still makes me a hell of a lot smarter than you."

My jaw hung open and I was speechless. "Did you just low-key call me dumb?"

"It wasn't low-key. I put the key in the hole and opened the door."

"You think you're so clever, it's really cute actually. It's like when you think you're giving me a good blow job." I smirked as she gasped to herself. "Does the cat have your tongue darling?"

"No. "

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes! Stop lying Jess, God doesn't like liars."

"You're right Logan, he doesn't like liars. Don't act all self righteous."

"Are you calling me a liar?"

"I ain't calling you a truther."

"Wow."

"Yeah wow is right."

"Don't you have to pack or something?" I muttered, an attempt of doing away with her snippiness. Jessa can be horribly annoying like now and I don't have the patience to deal with nonsense right now. There was actual things for me to worry about like whether or not Telly made it there safely and in one piece because she was totally done for just a few hours ago. I ran my hand through my hair tugging gently.

"I can multitask. Why, do you need to check up on your precious doll Telly. We don't want her to jump into the Hudson Bay in a drunken attempt to finally be free of you once and for all."

"She wouldn't do that." I choked out.

"Yeah and she said she would never leave you and where is she? Across the country sitting in a penthouse with God knows how many other guys and frankly, none of them are you."

"She's not like that Jess,"

"Oh, like you actually know her. Give me a break Logan, she's a walking explosive and any day now, that clock will stop counting down and she will wipe out anything in her path, you know it. You're the one putting her through hell."

"Actually, if I can recall correctly, I'm pretty sure you were the one to cause most of her recent damage, starting with raping her."

"Yeah true, but you aren't doing anything to try and make Telly feel better. In fact, you're just throwing more dirt into the grave of you and her actually getting together. It's a shame really, you two would've made the cutest babies."

"Telly and I are still going to make the cutest babies. I'll be waiting for her to make everything right when she comes back home from New York."

"That's if she comes back."

"What do you mean 'if' Telly comes home?"

But Jessa ignored me and kept going through with her thought. "Why would she want to come home? She's in a place where we can't bother her anymore and I doubt her brother and her brothers girlfriend want to bother her. She can live in bliss. That's what she's been asking for, for a while now. Also, you're the one who sent her away Logan."

"I didn't send her away, Jase sent both of us away."

"If that's the case, why are we even having this conversation?"

Nothing. There were no words that I could think of that would make a plausible reason. As much as I hated to admit it, she posed a great point. Damn she was too good. If Jase sent both of us away, I should be in New York along with her, most likely sleeping along side her. But I didn't leave with her, knowing it would've been the perfect opportunity for me to do what I know I should do and what I want to do.

"Now who's tongue tied?" She giggled.

"I wanted to- to be with you." I blurted out without thinking and slapped my hand to my forehead immediately. I didn't want Jess to get any ideas even though she was armed with plenty of them already.

"You what?" Jessa coughed out, just as surprised as I was at that moment. What kind of idiot am I? How could I blurt such a thing out especially to her. She will never live this down and I can't quite blame her. Jessa Wills is a very miscievious girl and she would take this conversation and shove it down my throat, or better yet, throw it in Telly's face.

"I couldn't just leave you here without saying goodbye."

"Well, you might as well just say it now."

"Goodbye Jess, I hope to see you soon."

"Likewise." And the line went dead.
