my heart started beating fast and my eyes widened. "uhm Lu-Luke?" "what?" luke said as he continued to play guitar. "she texted back." i mumbled. suddenly Luke stopped playing and looked up at me. i looked back at him in awe. i gave him my phone and he read the text. "what the hell is this supposed to mean?" he asked confused.

"it means we have to meet her there." "but when? today? we'll never get there in time."

when evelyn left, we stopped the tour. just for a break. because the show we played after she left, ashton and i didnt play our best. So we decided it would be better to take a few months off so we can get our heads clear. Luke didnt like that plan but he agreed anyway. along did michael. So at the moment, we were in sydney staying at a hotel. while Evelyn was in New York. we would never be able to make it in time.

i thought for a second. "If we were to get on a plane right now, we would probably arive in new york in a few hours." "that means we need to get our shit together.. ASH MICHAEL!" luke yelled at them to get up. "we're leaving for new york to see evelyn so cmon get up." he explained as the two babies whined. "really?!" ashton asked as he quickly got up.

"yes really so get dressed and pack up your shit." luke explained as he scrambled the room for his belongings.

once we got our tickets and arrived at the airport, i texted evelyn.

We're leaving sydney now. we'll be in new york in a few hours. im glad you decided to do this ev. thank you. it means tons to us and luke.

once i sent it, i kept checking it to see if she read it yet. after a few minutes, she did.

i smiled to myself briefly then we borded the plane. we're so lucky this plane was avalible at such short notice. its unbelieveable.

after the long plane ride, we finally arrived in new york. once we got off the plane, i checked my phone to see a new text from Evelyn.

meet me in the park tomorrow. i have a date planned today.

my heart broke. more like shattered. she had a date. i silently showed luke the text then he grabbed my phone and read it a second time. "what the hell is this? we came all this way for her and she.." he trailed off then looked the other way. "im sorry luke." i whispered.

"i love her calum.." he whispered after a moment as he looked at me with tears in his eyes. "i love her so much and i threw her away." "its not your fault luke. it was mine." i tried to make him feel a little better. i could tell he was crushed. just like i was. "why are we even here." he sighed.
