flashback:

crawled into bed next to him as he scrolled through his phone. i loved just looking at him. i loved his scruffy stubble. i loved his slight double chin. i loved him.

he set his phone down then turned to look at me as well. we smiled at eachother then he kissed my forehead and i snuggled into his chest. he set his chin onto my head and rubbed my back as he sang 'catch fire' softly.

" i love you deeply luke hemmings." i whispered.

i herd a chuckled. he knew that was one of my favorites. then after that i started to doze off into sleep as he sang 'vapor'. (another favorite.) i loved his voice so much. it made my heart ache but in a good way. it made me just fall more deeply in love with him.

i looked over at her, slowly breathing body. i remembered watching her sleep. and how still her breathing was. she was always so quiet too. ive never herd her snore. shes the most amazing person in the world and i cant believe any of this happened. especially to her.

i dont even understand the whole story. which is why i need her to wake up. so i can see her beautiful eyes and hear her voice.

its been a few hours now and im getting worried. i got up slowly and went to go ask the guys to stay with her while i talked to the doctor. they went in to see her and ashton held her hand. i sighed then went to find Burke.

i asked a few nurses but they just said they would page him. i sighed once more then walked back to Evelyn's room.

right as i walked in i saw her flutter her eyes open slowly. right there and then, my heart filled with the sight of her. she was still breath taking in a hospital bed along with chords attached to her. she coughed a few times then attempted a sleepy smile. i scurried to grab her cold hand and squeezed it lightly.

"you're so beautiful Evelyn." i whispered and kissed her knuckles. she blushed and tears started forming in her eyes then a tear fell down her soft cheek. i felt hot tears forming just seeing her shed them. the guys all smiled and were quiet when they talked. all they would say would be either, 'how are you feeling?' or 'you did great in surgery.'

"what happened..?" she finally spoke in a raspy whisper.

the doctor came in and checked some things then told her what happened on the plane.

"so i did drugs that i was allergic to?" she whispered. i could tell she was trying to talk normally but her throat was probably dried up.

"basically yes." Burke said. "you are going to be having some bodily pains for a while, and you are going to need lots of care for a while. since you're body shut down, its going to be hard to function some times. but im sure you're boyfriend will help you through the whole time. We're going to keep you in for about three days to just observe you and keep you stable."

"sounds fine." she smiled, but i knew it was fake. she didnt ask to be in this state right now. she was fed wrong medicine that was actually illegal drugs and now this is how she pays for it? its the stupidest shit ive ever herd of. but im willing to be with her the whole way. id do anything for her.

burke left and the guys decided to find some food for Us. i stayed and kept her company.

"i know what you're thinking hun." i sighed and rubbed my thumb on her hand. she nodded then wiped her puffy eyes. "but you know how i know you're going to be just fine? im going to be with you the whole time. Everything you need ill be right here. im never leaving you okay?"

she smiled and weakly squeezed my hand. i chuckled.

"i love you deeply luke hemmings." she whispered.
