HELLO!
I made myself write this chapter today, because I'm going to Disney World tomorrow (omg, trying not to think about it right now) and won't be able to post until at least Monday.
I hope you like this chapter! It explores Loki and Thea's relationship and how it has changed over the years. And includes some more general Thea bad ass-ery.
I listened to "Hello Kitty" by Avril Lavigne because the words reminded me of Jack and Thea a little bit, the "Kitty" part reminded me (of course) of Thea, and the general beat of the song reminded me of the dueling at the end (and Thea and Loki's mental duel).

Chapter 3:
Loki must be really tired, because when Victoire tries to jump on me the next morning and accidentally jumps on Loki instead, all he does is mutter into his pillow and turn over. Victoire, who unlike Videl hadn't sensed Loki's arrival last night, had shrieked when she'd flipped over the blanket and found a sleeping demigod with messy black hair covering his face instead of me. I'm ninety percent sure Loki had chuckled a little, but I'd been too distracted by Victoire screaming and running out of the room.
"Great job Loki," I say, slamming my pillow on his face and swinging off the bed before he can retaliate. "You just terrified the youngest member of our family."
"Oh, I'm used to it," says Loki between a yawn. "I used to terrify the youngest member of this family all the time before Victoire was born."
I scowl at him, which he can't see. "I could set your hair on fire."
"And I could encapsulate you in a block of ice, but I'm trying to sleep, so I'm not going to waste my energy on you."
I don't bother to try and argue with him anymore, so I pull on Max's cross necklace and Kyle's old Michigan sweatshirt and walk out of the room, careful to close the door a little louder than necessary.
Victoire has sought the comfort of Videl, who is standing in front of the Christmas tree with Angelique. She's apparently forgotten about Loki for the time being, because she's dancing around Videl with her Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer stuffed animal Videl had just given her. Her golden curls are bouncing up and down her shoulders, and she is wearing her small fluffy pink robe.
"Teeah!" she squeals, abandoning Videl and running over to me, Rudulph clenched tightly in her tiny small fingers. She throws herself enthusiastically against my legs. "Teeah! Mewy Christmas!"
"Merry Christmas, Victoire," I say, untangling myself from her and looking up when Tony and Pepper walk in the room. "Hey, did Loki say why he suddenly appeared?"
"Well he told me that he had a gap in his royal Asgardian duties, and also something about a promise to his favorite daughter about sentimentally being home in time for Christmas Day."
"Did he say anything about Asgard?" I ask. Victoire goes running back to Videl and practically attacks him in a mixture of laughter and kisses.
"Nope. Didn't tell me anyway. Just scared me to China and back when he appeared from out of nowhere, then told me he was going upstairs to you."
I'd have to remember to ask him, although he'll probably give up the information easily enough since I'm not like, thirteen, anymore.
As it turns out, I'm right. Loki comes downstairs an hour later after Victoire has finished opening her presents (Videl had opted for the whole Santa Claus thing and threatened to drain the blood out of anyone who spoiled it for her. He'd also threatened to drain the blood out of Jack when he'd asked if he could dress up as Old Saint Nick and magically fly in from the not-quite-functioning chimney and probably accidentally scar Victoire for life).
