ITC: Brandon (Mall Cop)

Brandon's Interview*

(Doors opens and Brandon strolls in carefree, while the Interviewer waits for him to get closer. Instead of shaking hands, Brandon just sit and gives a daring look at the Interviewer)

Interviewer: "Okay...what's your name"

Brandon: "Brandon" (Puts his feet on the table)

Interviewer: "That's it?" (Gives a confused face and Brandon nods)

Interviewer: (Signs deeply) "Why are you working as a mall cop? Do you like it?"

Brandon: "It's either this, or Korea. I can't be caught in a country with no bacon. I don't know how I feel about this whole mall security thing, but the Segways are cool." (Shrugs)

(Interviewer nods)

Interviewer: "People say your a party boy. Is that true?"

Brandon: (Shrugs) " Yeah, I like to party. The best part is when you've got a bunch of drunk and underage girls with you in one room. That was a joke. Mostly. (Winks)

(Interviewer speechless)

Interviewer: (Looks down at paper) "Do you have a girl that you want?"

Brandon: "I'm not much for commitments. I don't really do that relationship shit."

Interviewer: "Um...how's the job as a mall cop?"

Brandon: (Crosses arms over his chest) "Shitty. I'd rather be getting high at a rager."

(Interviewer silent again)

Interviewer: "What makes you so wild?"

Brandon: "I just am, babe." (Interviewer gives a shock look, that makes Brandon smirk) "Like the time I jumped off of Viejo Middle School or mooned the assistant principal on her front porch on Halloween. It was righteous. Then I blew the 10 bucks from the dare on candy and other shit and Ms. Walter called my parents and the cops, but you know you live and you learn." (Smirks widen)

Interviewer: "Okay...things that make you tick? Literally."

Brandon: "I don't get that one. I'm pretty chill. There's not much you could say to bother me."

Interviewer: "What do you like to do on your free time?"

Brandon: "Every time is free time."

(Interviewer only shrugs)

Interviewe: "Is partying you hobby?" (Gives a curious look)

Brandon: (Smirks) "Partying is a way of life. 'IT' hasn't failed me yet."

Interviewer: (Flips paper ) "Do you tend to break the rules alot?"

Brandon: (Laughs) "I don't believe in rules. They go against my way of life."

Interviewer: "What do you consider fun?"

Brandon: (Thinks intently) "Uh, let's see. Doing mindless shit, partying, getting high, sex, setting stuff on fire, pushing people's buttons... oh and a new one, arguing with a bunch of cops." (Smiles brightly)

(Interviewer keeps silent)

Interviewer: "Do girls fall for you?"

Brandon: "All the time. I can not keep the ladies off me. When they're desperate enough."

Interviewer: (Looks at paper confused) "It says you had your money cut, Why?"

Brandon: "Yeah, my parents always kept the cash coming, so throwing parties was never a problem, but since a squad of policemen from the VPD showed up unexpectedly, I'm kinda strapped." (Rubs the back of his neck)

(Interviewer nods)

Interviewer: "What do you plan to do now that your a mall cop?"

Brandon: Nothing, probably just see how much trouble I can get into and how much fun the mall can be when no one's around." (Smiles evilly while rubbing his hands together)

(Interviewer gives a scared look)

Interviewer: (Looks down at paper) "Anything that you could change? Regrets?"

Brandon: "No, not really. Well now that you mention it, I probably shouldn't have called Paige up and asked her how she was handling the clap." (Interviewer looks confused. Brandon phones rings. He read the message and stands) "Well got to go. Peace." (Brandon walks out. Interviewer gets up and leaves as well)

Summary:

Carly Benson - a normal, sweet 16 year old girl and a stickler for the rules.

Brandon Kim - a wild, spontaneous party boy whose parents have had enough and cut the cash.

Both teens get stuck working at the mall over the summer under the care of a night watchman who's probably the biggest bum on the planet. To Brandon, an empty mall is the perfect place to have a little fun especially when you have the keys to every store in the building. To Carly it's just a breeding ground for trouble especially when you're stuck babysitting your boss and a hyperactive seven year old in a teenage boy's body. They're mall cops, but the job might not be as big of a joke as they think when strange things start happening at Vista Palms Mall.

It's the most serious job on earth.
