Audrey's Interview*

(Audrey cautiously walks in, while the Interviewer waits for her. She takes a deep breathe and shakes hand with the Interviewer, then take a seat. Audrey sits down nervously)

Interviewer: "Hi there. I know you don't speak, so you can just write your answers down on this." (Hands her a notepad and Audrey takes it) "Now, let's begin. What's your name?"

Audrey: 'Audrey Bradford' (Shows paper)

(Interviewer nods)

Interviewer: "What kind of girl do people think you are?"

Audrey: (Writes and then shows paper) 'Quiet and weird'

Interviewer: "What kind of girl are you really?"

Audrey: 'Sweet and Funny.'

(Interviewer smiles)

Interviewer: "I've heard you're smart?" Is that true?

Audrey: (Writes something long) '... Extremely smart as people in my school would say. Not all the teachers liked me though. School was pretty hard for me being mute and all.' (Frowns)

Interviewer: "How does being mute affect your life?"

Audrey: 'A lot. I only have one friend and my mom doesn't even want to talk to me anymore. Also my therapist is always there for me.' (Wipes a stray tear from her eyes)

(Interviewer frowns)

Interviewer: "Do you have any friends?"

Audrey: 'Bradly is my only friend and I'm okay with that.' (Gives a small smile)

Interviewer: "What about your family?"

Audrey: (Frowns) 'My dad left when I was five and my mom barely talks to me. I have no one else other than them. I keep myself distant.'

(Interviewer frowns feeling bad for her)

Interviewer: "Rumor had it that you were quite pretty, and I see that this is true. How do you take all of that in"

Audrey: 'I embrace my beauty I guess. I'm humble about it all and no one else really sees it, but Bradly. I'm weird, so no one cares that I'm pretty or not.' (Shrugs)

Interviewer: (Looks down at paper) "Would you change anything if you could?"

Audrey: 'Yes, I'd like to change having this disorder. It's messed up my life a lot, but I guess it's for the better.' (Shrugs again)

Interviewer: "What are your future plans?"

Audrey: 'For now to get out of this problem and disorder and go to college. I think I can go somewhere in life. I'm super smart as you already know and I'm incredibly. Hopefully I can help people out with the same problems as me.'

Interviewer: "Is there anything else you'd like to say... er write?"

Audrey: (Thinks before she writes) 'Not that I can think of. Thanks for having me.' (She gets up and hands back the notepad. She mouths 'thank you' and then leaves the room)

Interviewer: (Signs) "Hope she'll be fine. (Looks at clock) "Lunch!" (And leaves the room)

Summary:

Mute; refraining from speech or temporarily speechless

Audrey is 18 years old. She is considered mute. She does not talk and hasn't since she was five. The year she started school. Her mom and therapist think its school that did this to her. She was at first diagnosed with Selective Mutism, but it wasn't correct. She had social anxiety, but she did not have Selective Mutism because she talked no where. Not at school or home. It came to the point where she couldn't go to school. She was home schooled and classified as a weirdo to the people that knew who she was.

Audrey was beautiful though. Since she was little she had wild curly hair. It was a massive problem at the time, but as she grew up she grew to love it. Audrey has brown eyes. Her body is perfect for her and always has been. She doesn't ever want to change and she isn't insecure. Audrey just can't talk and she won't tell anyone why. Her mom has tried asking. Her best friend since five has tried asking and now her therapist is a little more worried, but he can't do anything.

~Well sorry for going MIA, but here is another one... hopefully I can get everyone in and hope you guys are enjoying these. Next one a mystery so stay tune ;)
