Interviewing the Character

ITC: Maci (Maci)

Maci's Interview*

(Interviewer watched Maci as she gracefuly makes her way over. Interviewer stand and they shake hand before they both sit down)

Interviewer: (Coughs a little and then looks at Maci) "Well, let's get started. What's you name?"

Maci: "Maci Anne Brooks." (Smiles sweetly)

Interviewer: (Frowns a little) "What is that makes you depressed?"

Maci: (Gives a scared look) "The mirror, seeing my reflection is enough to make me want to throw up, and I'm sure others feel like that when the look at me." (Frowns)

(Interviewer keeps quiet not knowing what to say)

Interviewer: "What makes you so innocent?"

Maci: "I'm definitely not innocent, I've done a fair share of bad things, but I've made my penance and that's what matters." (Smiles a bit)

(Interviewer nods)

Interviewer: "What does a mirror tell you about yourself?"

Maci: (Faces turns to shame) "It reminds me of the horrible reality - that I'm ugly, fat, just worthless." (Tears shine in her eyes)

Interviewer: "Um... (Smiles at next question) "things that makes you happy?"

Maci: "Being around my mum, she always manages to cheer me up, sitting on the windowsill, or just sitting in my own little world with no one to bother me." (Goes into her own little world)

Interviewer: "Okay... (Maci shakes her head and pays attention) "things that make you sad?" (Sign)

Maci: "Looking in the mirror, being alone, and school - it sucks." (Signs)

Interviewer: "Is there anyone that you like?" (Slowly raises eyebrow)

Maci: "Well, there's this one boy I kind of like... because he's just like me." (Feels hopeless)

Interviewer: "Do you have a secret that you like to explain?"

Maci: (Thinks) 'I have many, but they're better left unsaid."

(Interviewer nods)

Interviewer: "What are thing you would change if you could?"

Maci: "Simply, I'd change me. I hate my looks, I hate my body, I just hate it all. and I'd change the existence of mirrors, they do nothing but people down.' (Gives an anger face)

(Interviewer nods intently)

Interviewer: "What are things you believe you in?"

Maci: (Thinks) "Once upon a time, I used to believe in happiness. but things change, people change and reality settles in." (Frowns)

Interviewer: "....do yo have plans for the future?"

Maci: "To get the hell out of London, and spend the rest of my life with someone who understands me... we all have dreams, eh?"

(Interviewer chuckles)

Interviewer: "Your right...what do people think of you? Do you care?"

Maci: I'm pretty sure no one has an opinion on me, I'm pretty much invisible to most people, except my mum & Mrs Simmons."

Interviewer: (Looks down at paper) "Is there anything else you like to say?"

Maci: "Like i said - things are better left unsaid, aren't they?"

(Interviewer shrugs)

Interviewer: "I guess." (Looks at clock) "Well that was the last question." (Maci nods and exchange shakes quickly before dashing out) "Um..... anyways-" (Grabs things and leaves)
