Interviewing the Character

ITC: Carson (The Boy in the Black Hoodie)

Carson's Interview*

(Interviewer looks up to see Carson strolling in the room. Interviewer stand and they shake hand before they sit)

Interviewer: (Fixes clothes) "What's you name?". (Picks up paper)

Carson: (grins) "Carson."

(Interviewer frowns but doesn't question him)

Interviewer: "Fine....who are the WIO?"

Carson: (you can see his features immediately darken) "They're the very definition of evil. I swear, look it up and you'll see 'WIO' in bold letters."

(Interviewer eyes widen)

Interviewer: "Um... dropping that. Was life rough for you?"

Carson: "Well, besides being abused, in all ways, almost to the point of death, no." (Smiles, even though he is crying inside)

(Interviewer nods)

Interviewer: "Do you know anyone you can trust?"

Carson: "I can definitely trust Jay, Chloe, and Rob. But Jay most of all." (Smiles)

Interviewer: (Raises eyebrow, but continues) "What trick do you have? In general."

Carson: "Trick? No way, man. I've simply had sixteen years to figure out the WIO. In addition to that, I've practically set the whole thing up. I mean, the idiots can't even lock a door. So, what do they do? Get a nine year old kid to make 3D engravings on a wall that look like locks. So, tricks, no. Secrets, yes."

(Interviewer chuckles)

Interviewer: "Anything that you would change in the past?"

Carson: (Laughs) "Ha! Everything."

(Interviewer shakes head, but is smiling)

Interviewer: "Is it a bad thing to be on your bad side?"

Carson: "Now, I have two bad sides." (Holds two fingers up) "The bad side crafted into my by the WIO, and the natural bad side." (Pauses for a minute) "My first "bad side", you wouldn't want to get on that. Trust me when I say this, I truly do NOT want to hurt these people. But, I don't want to be beaten for not hurting them either." (Takes a deep breathe) "My other bad side...that's reserved for people like Paul. People who I would rip to shreds if I had the chance. Pretty much the whole WIO is on that list. Oh, they'll get what's coming to them."

(Interviewer looks at him scared)

Interviewer: "Okay... any secret that you have?"

Carson: I" have lots of secrets." (Eyes start to glisten with tears, but he won't let them fall) "I don't really want to talk about it, though." (Looks down)

Interviewer: (Bites lip, hoping he didn't ruin everything) "Oh...okay. Well, then, do you have anyone you can rely on?"

Carson: (Smiles, recovered) "I can definitely rely on Jay. I just know he's going to be there for me, regardless of my past or the current situation."

(Interviewer nods)

Interviewer: "Do you consider yourself a fighter?"

Carson: "Yeah, I guess." (Scratches head)

Interviewer: "Are there things that make you tick?"

Carson: (Gives a stern look) "Everything that has to do with Paul or the WIO."

(Interviewer nods again)

Interviewer: "Do you have any plans for the future?"

Carson: "Getting revenge on Paul." (Smiles menacingly)

(Interviewer eyes widen)

Interviewer: "Any final words do you like to share?"

Carson: (Smirks) "I thought this was an interview, not an execution."

Interviewer: (Looks at clock and frowns) "I guess we're done then?"

Carson: "Dude, I never had a relationship with you. You're starting to creep me out...I'm going to leave now..." (Gets up and leaves the room)

Interviewer: (Looking confused) "What the heck just happened?" (Shrugs anyways and leaves the room)
