ITC: Miriam (Opposites Attract)

Miriam's Interview*

(Miriam pops her head behind the door making sure this was the right room and proceeds to enter, while the Interviewer waits patiently for her. Once she was close, the Interviewer stood and they shook hands before seating)

Interviewer: (Fixes the paper) "Shall we begin?" (Miriam shakes her head) " What's your name?"

Miriam: "Mariam Ali"

Interivewer: "Lovely name...what kind of girl are you, Miriam?"

Miriam: (Shrugs) "Most would describe me as 'nice' but I'm quite shy but do open up to people after speaking to them for a while."

(Interviewer nods)

Interviewer: (Grins) "So, do you have a crush?"

Miriam: (Blushes bright red) "My ultimate crush is Daniel James who is the other leading character."

(Interviewer smirks knowing something was up)

Interviewer: " I see...do you ever plan on having a long-term relationship with someone?" (Raises an eyebrow)

Miriam: "I hope so but the future is always undecided." (Frowns)

Interviewer: "I hear that. I hear that your family is struggling in the money department? Tell us a little more about this."

Miriam: (Frowns at thought) "My family is poor as my mother cannot work due to her disability."

(Interviewer face saddens to hear that)

Interviewer: "Moving on...does money and social status do anything to stop you from loving Daniel?

Miriam: "Money and social status are the least of Daniel and Mariam's worries when it comes to the love they both share. However, Daniel's father isn't happy about it and prefers his son to marry the socialite and heiress Scarlett Hamilton."

(Interviewer tilts head confused)

Interviewer: (Shakes head and continues) "Now, about your religion, what religion are you?"

Miriam: "My religion is Islam." (She says proudly)

(Interviewer nods)

Interviewer: "What about Daniel's religion?"

Miriam: "Daniel is an atheist and believes in the Big Bang Theory and that God doesn't exist. However, as the story progresses his views are altered." (Smiles)

(Interviewer tilts head again)

Interviewer: (Looks down at paper) "Tell me, is this a big problem?"

Miriam: Any inter-religion relationships are a big problem but in some cases, love conquers all and agreements can be reached." (Her smiles brightens)

(Interviewer nods head in approval)

Interviewer: "What do you plan to do about it?"

Miriam: "If you continue to read my upcoming chapters you'll find out." (Winks)

(Interviewer is still confused)

Interviewer: "Do you have any plans for the future?"

Miriam: "My plans for the future are probably becoming a doctor."

Interviewer: "That's not a bad career." (Looks down at paper) "Is there anything else you'd like to say?"

Miriam: "I'd like to say that this book shows that 'love can overcome all obstacles' that forbidden love can sometimes turn out to be the best kind of love there is and that everyone has their soul mate." (Smiles brightly again. She then stands and exchange shakes with the Interviewer) "Thank you for having me and hope you guys enjoy it." (Winks and walks out)

Interviewer: "........I'm outta here" (Then walks out)
