ITC: Danica (The Dream Team)

Danica's Interview*

(Danica walks in professionally, which surprise the Interviewer. Interviewer rises and they shake hand, before they sit down)

Interviewer: (Fixes papers) "Let's begin, shall we? (Danica nodded) "Could you please introduce yourself?" 

Danica: "My name is Danica Williams. I am a 18 year old brunette that works at the West Philly Police Department." (Show her badge)

(Interviewer nods)

Interviewer: "Why don't you tell me a little about what you do?" (Gives a curious look)

Danica: "I am a part of the West Philly's special ops team, 'Dream Team'."

(Interviewer raises an eyebrow)

Interviewer: "What's your role in your special ops team?"

Danica: (Thinks a little) "I am considered the negotiator of the team. I rely on my brain and my mouth more so than the guys." (Shakes her head)

Interviewer: "Um... I see. I understand that your team is called the 'Dream Team'. What exactly caused you guys to name it as such?"

Danica: "That was a name my dad, 'a.k.a Captain', gave to us when we signed our contract because our skills were so defined that when combined together we literally have all the components of a 'Dream Team'. We have everything any single officer in Philadelphia dreams of having."

(Interviewer nods in understanding)

Interviewer: "What about your love life? I mean, you look to be just a teenager, surely hormones come into play even during missions?"

Danica: (Blushes) "Well, people on the outside believe that I'm in love with Logan Evans, but that's not true. Don't get me wrong, Logan is very attractive and all, but my feelings are for someone else. My love life can definitely be classified as complicated. I try to not to focus on relationships as much because of my work." (Shrugs)

Interviewer: "Interesting...what about your team members? What are they like?"

Danica: "Logan Brand is the face of The Dream Team. All the girls drool over him. He's tall and pretty built. He's considerate and sweet, I guess that's why all the girls like him, besides his good looks." (Shrugs) "He saves my life on the regular bases and sticks up for me against Jared's harshness. Jared Evans is the "bad boy" on the outside, but beneath it all he has a sensitive side. I think I'm the only one who has been a witness to it. He's physical strength alone is more than Logan and I combined. To those who haven't seen it, he appears to be extremely rude, especially to me, but it doesn't bother me."

(Interviewer keeps quiet)

Interviewer: "Is there anyone on the team that you have possible feelings for?" (Raises an eyebrow) 

Danica: "Actually, I do. As I mentioned before some people like to think I have feelings for Logan. However, those feelings only consist of a brotherly love. My real feelings exist for the other member of our team, Jared; even though he can be a jerk at times." (Rolls her eyes)

Interviewer: "Oh, I see." (Shakes head in approval) "Do you guys go to school even though you're part of a special ops team? Surely you're not training all the time."

Danica: "In fact, we do attend school, but we don't receive special attention or time to complete school activities. We're currently spending our senior year at West High School. It can be rather difficult and straining on some days, but in the end I think it's all worth it."

Interviewer: "What's it like working with two other guys and no girls? Do you feel as if you have to push yourself more than them?"

Danica: "Working with two other guys and no other girls is actually what I preferred. I have a tendency to not get along with other girls that well." (Shrugs) "I've always been the kind of girl that has more guy friends. The only down fall is that I do have to push myself harder. The guys call me little bit; they do it to tease me because my physical strength is a lot smaller than theirs and in their minds I'm not as tough as them. I don't mind having to push harder though. It makes me that much better." (Smiles brightly)

Interviewer: "Do the guys on your team underestimate your ability?"

Danica: "Yes and no. I think in some situations they definitely do underestimate my ability, but in the events that I save their lives, they forget that I am a girl. Being underestimated really isn't that day because when you accomplish something they doubt you could accomplish, they quickly realize you're better than they think." (Smirks a bit)

(Interviewer chuckles a little)

Intervier: (Looks down at the paper and gives a confused look) "It has come to my attention that one of you have managed to sustain a pretty harsh injury during a mission. Would you like to explain to us what it was and possibly what happened?' (Gives a curious look)

Danica: "Actually, two of us sustained an injury. However, Jared's was far worse than my own. We received a call saying we were being requested at the station. There had been a major fire at the station that trapped the Captain in the building. In the front lawn of the station was the words "Burn Baby Burn Dream Team". We didn't know that the arsonist had also placed a bomb on the premises and when it blew, we were all running for our lives. Jared had 3 broken ribs, busted knee cap and arm. Not to mention cuts and bruises and a life threaten infection. I only ended up with a large piece of shrapnel in my back. If it wasn't because of Logan, it would have been a lot worse." (Shudders a bit. Interviewer nods and looks at the clock)

Interviewer: "I'm surprise you haven't got anything to do right now, since your part of the 'Dream Team'." (Danica shrugs and then pulls out phone. She looks at the Interviewer)

Danica: "And now, I do." (They quickly exchange shakes.) "Thank you for having me." (Then runs out of the room)

Interviewer: "I spoke to soon." (Looks at clock again) "Yes! LUNCH!" (And walks out of the room)

Summary:Logan, Jared and Danica are West Philly Police Department's "Dream Team". They have everything going for them except their age. Being that they are all teenagers, they are limited in what they can do. They each have their special talents that benefits them when working together and are practically unstoppable; that is until one of them sustains a life threatening injury. Not to mention, their team may be at risk due to a childish mistake made by members of the highly esteemed "Dream Team". To make it that much harder for them, the extra complications of romance are added to the mixture. Will their mistakes cost them all they have worked for and the lives of those they love?
