Jay's Interview*

(Jay strolls in quietly, while the Interviewer checks the papers. Jay coughs, getting the Interviewer attention. Interviewer rises and they shake hands before they get seated)

Interviewer: "What's your name?"

Jay: (smiles slightly, a hint of amusement in his eyes) "Jay."

Interviewer: "Is that it?". (Jay nods)

Interviewer: "Okay... what kind of guy are you?"

Jay: "Definitely a Napoleon guy. I like all three flavors, and they taste good together. You know, I can't just have chocolate, or just have vanilla, or just have strawberry. Nah, man, Napoleon is the way to go." (Shakes head in approval)

(Interviewer nods)

Interviewer: "Who do you have a crush on?"

Jay: (tries to hide all the emotion on his face, but you can see the joy and love in his eyes) "There's a girl. And her name is Chloe. And we kind of, like, have a relationship." (smiles)

(Interviewer chuckles)

Interviewer: "Interesting...was life rough for you and why?

Jay: "Well, up until I was twelve, it was okay. You know, I had Rob and Michael (Rob's dad). They were pretty much my family, since I never knew my parents. But, after Rob's dad was killed, things started to go downhill. I was a loner, and pretty much gave up on life all together." (Frowns) "But then I met Chloe. God, I guess she saved me. Well, actually, she did. From Rob. Yeah, I don't want to talk about that, but anyways...Now I can view life from a whole different perspective." (Pauses) "So, yes, life was pretty rough for me, but I'm pushing through it."(smiles again)

(Interviewer stays silent)

Interviewer: "I see...who means the most to you?" (Gives a curious face)

Jay: 'Chloe, Carson, and HIM.". (Interviewer raises eyebrow) "I mean, Chloe's my girlfriend, and I need her. Really badly. Carson, he's like a brother. Plus, he also holds a lot of information that can help us. Without him, I don't know where I'd be. And HIM. He's the only family I've got. Ever since I found out about his being alive, I just...I can't let HIM die because of the WIO.". (Gives a straight face)

(Interviewer stays quiet)

Interviewer: "Anything that you wish you could change?"

Jay: (Shrugs) "Honestly, there's not that much I would like to have different. I've accepted the fact that I don't lead a normal life, and am completely fine with it. If I did, I never would've met the people that I did... Of course, I do wish that Carson's past didn't have to be what it was. The poor kid went through way too much, and I wish that he didn't have to have those memories inside of him." (Frowns at the thought)

(Interviewer nods)

Interviewer: "Poor kid....do you have a best bud?"

Jay: "Two actually." (Raises two fingers) "Rob, he's an interesting dude. I first met him in the sandbox. We had a good friendship until that dreaded day where his dad was shot. Next thing I know, he's trying to kill me. But then he shows up at the park and says he's sorry. Weird." (Rolls his eyes, sighing) "But, yeah, we are friends again. (Has one finger raised) "Then there's Carson." (Smiles fondly) "I can't even begin to explain about him. All I know is that I'm always going to be there for him, no matter what."

(Interviewer nods in approval)

Interviewer: "What secrets do you have?" (Raises eyebrow in curiosity)

Jay: "Secrets...Yeah, I have secrets. If only I knew what they were... but nobody will ever tell me." (Sighs) "I don't even know anything about myself." (Frowns)

Interviewer: "Who's out to get you?"

Jay: (Pulses lips) "Well, Rob was, but now that's over with, but the whole incident that resulted in Michael being shot...that wasn't the end of those guys. For some reason, they really wanted me. I just have no idea why. I'm just a kid who's practically homeless, and never had parents. Why would they want me?" (Begins muttering a bunch of questions under his breath, obviously in very deep thought)

(Interviewer gives a confused look)

Interviewer: "Um..okay...Thing that make you tick? Literally."

Jay: Only one: The WIO." (Eyes turn dark, and he's barely able to contain the rage inside of him)

(Interviewer backs up a bit)

Interviewer: "Is it bad to get on your bad side?"

Jay: (Laughs, but you can tell he's serious) "I don't like hurting people. It makes me feel bad. But, man, if you lay a hand on Carson, Chloe, or anybody else that I care about...Just be nice to my friends and you'll never know."

Interviewer: "Do you consider yourself a fighter?"

Jay: "Heck yes! I'm fighting for everything. The WIO has done to ruin my life, and the lives of my family and friends." (Punches into other hand)

Interviewer: "Nice...plans for the future?"

Jay: "Saving the world. Literally.' (Interviewer gives puzzled look and Jay shakes his head) "Don't ask." (Looks at phone) "Well duty calls." (Gets up and shakes hands with Interviewer) "Thanks you for having me, but I got to go." (Nods his head and leaves)

Interviewer: "Every time." (Shrugs and leaves)
