Interviewing the Character

ITC: Elita (Deadly Deceit)

Elita's Interview*

(Elita walks in while the Interviewer check the paper. Elita greets the Interviewer and then both of them take a seat)

Interviewer: "Hello and welcome. Let's begin shall we?" (Looks at paper) "What's your name?"

Elitea: "Hello, I'm Elita."

Interviewer: (Frowns) "No full name?" (Elita shakes her head)

Interviewer: "Alright then....what kind of girl are you?"

Elita: (Thinks) "Well, people call me a freak, but I think I'm psychic. But people tend to stay away from me, and I don't talk to them, so I guess shy..." (Shrugs)

(Interviewer nods)

Interviewer: "What do people think of you?"

Elita: (Frowns) "Like I said, I'm a 'freak'. Most people find me creepy and dangerous or just weird."

(Interviewer changes subject quickly)

Interviewer: "What do you think of yourself?"

Elita: (Smiles) "Well, I'm pretty sure I'm psychic, which to me, it pretty cool."

Interviewer: "I've heard you have an interesting family history. Would you like to tell us more about that?"

Elita: (Thinks again) "Well, I don't know much about my dad, he's never been around, I was told that he's dead. Also, my grandma looks like she's 22, and she thinks that her son, my dad, it alive and so maybe he is? It's all quite confusing to me really. I'll have have to do some further investigating."

(Interviewer nods)

Interviewer: "Is there anything strange about you?"

Elita: (Shrugs) "Other than seeing the future and feeling other's emotions and reading their thoughts, not really, no jut a normal teenage girl."

(Interviewer eyes widen to reading thoughts. Interviewere then gulps)

Interviewer: "Why do you think this is?"

Elita: (Deep in thought) "It must be something to do from my dad's side of the family, I'm still researching into it, hopefully I'll find something soon..."

(Interviewer nods)

Interviewer: "Do you know of any way of fixing it?" (Gives a curious look)

Elita: (Frowns) "No. And I don't think that I would want to change it, I'm used to it now, it's useful sometimes." (Smiles brightly)

(Interviewer gulps)

Interviewer: (Looks at paper) "Do you have any secrets that you would like to tell us about?"

Elita: "No. I can't tell anyone. Sorry, it's way to dangerous." (Shakes her head)

(Interviewer nods)

Interviewer: "I understand....if you could change one thing in the world, what would it be?"

Elita: (Signs) "It would be for everyone to be more accepting of others. Like psychics for example, people should accept those."

(Interviewer nods)

Interviewer: "Yeah, I guess...what are your future plans?" (Raises an eyebrow)

Elita: (Frowns a little) "I don't know, apparently, my dreams tell me that I don't have long left, so for now I'm just focusing on staying alive." (Adds a reassuring smile)

(Interviewer gives her a curious look, but doesn't push on)

Interviewer: "Is there anything else you'd like to share with us?"

Elita: "Well, maybe you could help me here, there's this new guy in town and he's stalking me, and him and my only friend are plotting my murder. I have not been able to catch him, so if you see a guy who is really tall and had black hair and brown eyes, please call the police. Please!" (Freezes and then stands) "I need to leave thank you." (Then she darts out of the room)

Interviewer: (Tilts head) "Wha-," (Another kids walks in)

Unknown: "Have you seen Elita?"

Interviewer: (Shakes head) "No." (Then he runs out of the room) "Crap." (And dials 911 and gets out of the room)

Summary:I'm told that I'm crazy, insane. I didn't think that I was. Now though, I'm not so sure. Because I saw myself die. And I keep seeing my own death. All I know is that I'm going to die, and it's going to happen soon, and that my best and only friend is keeping a deadly secret. Then I see him. My murderer. But you know what they say: Just knowing about the future can change it...
