Interviewing the Character

ITC: Brie (This is Theatre)

Brie's (Gabriella) Interview*

(Interviewer waits patiently as Brie makes her way to the seat. The interviewer gets up and shakes with her and then they both sit down and get down to business.)

Interviewer: "What's your full name?"

Brie: (Smiles) "Gabriella Courtney Grennich. But you can call me Brie. Everybody does because I make them." (Makes serious face)

(Interviewer nods head)

Interviewer: "Okay Brie, how did you meet Laeci?"

Brie: (Laughs quietly) "She has a hot ass. Tyler mentioned it to me, I told Laeci, and she mentioned she was doing math homework. I knew I had to help her so I took her over to meet Maia, our math whiz."

Interviewer: "Are you popular among your school?" (Raises eyebrow)

Brie: "Yes. Why, who said I wasn't?"

(Interview shrugs and points at the paper. Brie nods slowly, confused)

Interviewer: "Have a crush on anyone?" (Grins wide)

Brie: "Yeah. My boyfriend, Ryan." (Gives a small smile)

Inteviewer: "Ah, I see." (Shakes head in approval) "What are you good at?"

Brie: "I'm an actress and a singer. And I can dance." (Stands and shows a little bit of her moves. Interviewer claps when she finishes and she takes her seat)

Interviewer: "Very good."

Interviewer: "Are you an "It' girl?"

Brie: "Yes. I'm one of the four main 'It' girls at our school. I'm the artsy 'It' girl."

Interviewer: "Heard your doing a 'project'. What is it and who is it with?"

Brie: "Laeci is my project." (Smiles proudly, then frowns a little) "She's so pitiful, you know? You can't help but feel sorry for her, poor little freshman. I'm taking her under my wing. She'll be the new Brie by the end of the year." (Smiles brightly again.)

Interviewer: "That's nice." (Flips pages) "Why moving to LA after high school?"

Brie: "To pursue a career in film."

(Pasues for a moment)

Interviewer: "How rich is rich to you?" (Rises an eyebrow)

Brie: "Rich is when you get to have a second closet just for shoes." (Gives another small smile)

Interviewer: "What makes you tick? Literally."

Brie: "Clocks that aren't digital. Seriously, what's the point anymore." (Signs and remembers something) "Oh, and cursive."

Interviewer: "What do you love the most?" (Interviewer rubs his chin)

Brie: "Acting."

Interviewer: "Hate the most?"

Brie: "Cheaters, liars, and skanks." (Shakes her head) "No one likes the skanky 'It' girl, Alexis." (Rolls her eyes and interviewer laughs a little)

Interviewer: "Hobby you like to do?"

Brie: "Act. Sing. Dance. Party."

Interviewer: "Favorite thing to do on your free time?"

Brie: "Free time?" (Gives a confused look) "Do high school theatre kids have such a thing?"

(Interviewer shrugs)

Interviewer: (Lookes down at his watch) "Well we got time for one more question." (Lookes down at paper ) "What do you plan on doing from now on?"

Brie: "Having fun." (Gives a duh look) "I'm in my senior year, I've got a 4.0, I've got a trust fund and a huge closet! Bring it on, life!" (Interviewer chuckles a little)

Interviewer: "Nice to have you here Gab-Brie" (Both stand and shakes hand again)

Brie: "Thank you for having me." (Looks at her phone) "But I got to run." (Winks and walks out of the room)

Summary: After accidentally joining the raunchy school play and the most exclusive clique at her school, freshman Laeci Taylor must balance new friends, new loves, new experiences in her life as Hot Ass while risking the thing that she's trying to find-- herself.
