Kristina's Interview*
(Interviewer and Kristina make their way to their seats. Interview gets read, while Kristine fixes herself up. Interviewer straightens up and looks at Kristina)
Interviewer: "Alright, let's start." (Straightens the papers) "First off, what's your name?"
Kristina's Answer: "My name? It's Kristina Collins. Pleasure to meet you." (Smiles widely) "What would you like to know?"
(Interviewer looks at paper)
Interviewer: "So... who's older? You or your brother?"
Kristina: (Laughs a little) "I can see why you would need to ask that." (Winks) "I'm the older one, by a year. Why would you ask that anyways? I thought this was about me?"
(Interviewer shrugs)
Interviewer: "It was just something to discern is all. People would inevitably ask about you both. I assure you the rest are you. Now... You were an 'It' girl. How was that life?"
Kristina: "Hmm, alright. Whatever you say. Anyways, yes I am the "It" girl. Just because Samantha Logans thought it was okay to supposedly push me off doesn't mean anything. I am the original. I started the legacy and don't bother thinking otherwise, got it?" (Exhales deeply then smiles) "Let's move on, yes?"
Interviewer: "Riiiight. Well, are you and your brother the same in personality?"
Kristina: (Sighs in frustration) "I thought this was about me?" (She doesn't allow you to answer. Waves hands dismissively) "Whatever. No. The answer is no. My brother is the polar opposite of me - kind, sweet, quiet."
Interviewer: "Okay, I heard there were 12 unspoken rules. How did that change you?" (Gives a puzzled look)
Kristina: "Twelve. Unspoken. Rules? What do you mean? You mean I entered high school without this knowledge? Nobody told me about this!"
Interviewer: (starts to freak out)
Interviewer: "Um, well... Never mind. Are you like what people expect from you?"
Kristina: "People expect me to be spoiled, snotty, uncaring. Besides the spoiled part, I don't match up to people's expectations at all. I like helping - even if it doesn't seem that way. I'm in now way snotty - though, at times I'll admit I do get that way - I don't mean to!"
(Interviewer nods heads)
Interviewer: "What kind of girl do you think you are?"
Kristina: "The normal kind. Well, as normal as one can get when being an heiress. If you add in that fact, though, then I guess I'm the special kind." (Gives sharp look) "Not in that sense, mind you. But in the sense that I am able to get things whenever and however I want. I'm a princess - what do you think?"
Interviewer: (Silent)
Interviewer: Right. If you could have anything in the world, what would it be?
Kristina: (Gives thoughtful look) "Well, I mean, I'd like to think that I have everything." (laughs a bit) "No. If anything, I'd want my old life back. You know, when everything was at the tip of my fingers. When Samantha Logans didn't think it was okay to back stab her friends." (Starts to get hostile and angry) "When - "
Interviewer : (Looks slightly afraid) "Ooookay," (interrupts tirade) "Do you find your brother annoying or just a handful?"
Kristina: (Blinks at the interruption before smiling fondly) "He's a pain in my butt, that one. But without him, I think I would be more lonely that I am now." (laughs softly) "He can be annoying - what younger brother isn't? - but he is also the best thing in my life."
Interviewer: (smiles at answer but says nothing) "What kind of things do you buy when you go shopping?"
Kristina: (eyes brighten at thought) "Oooh, just about anything I can! Clothes, shoes, accessories, jewelry, stuff for my brother because heaven knows that boy has no sense of fashion. Presents for my mother especially during her stressful days - if you know what I mean." (winks slyly)
Interviewer: "Are you the daughter of the Collins?" (Rubs back of neck, nerviously)
Kristina: "Um, duh." (gives incredulous look) "My name is Kristina Collins."
(Interviewer nods quickly and looks down at the paper)
Interviewer: "Who's going to run the business in the end?"
Kristina: "Honestly, as much as I would like to have my hands on the company, I know I wouldn't do it justice. I'm only a Sophomore in high school so that thought is far off. Besides, I plan on creating a fashion line and making it into a business." (Smiles)
Interviewer: (Checks watch) "Thank you, Ms. Collins. I believe that is enough questions for the project that I am working on. You have been a great help!" ( smiles and stands)
Kristina: "Awe, that's it? I was just getting started." (stands up as well) "Thank you for the interview!" (Shakes hand and Kristina walks out of the room)
