I picked up the human, princess style. Great, now what do I do with him? I looked at the time on my phone.

1:30 in the morning. Damn! I didn't even know where I was. I tried to walk but my legs were in pain again.

I dropped the guy and he fell on the sidewalk, hitting his head. I hope it erases his memories. I sat on the ground next to him. What do I do? What do I do?

I dialed Audriana's number. No answer. I dialed all of my friends numbers. Still no answer. Why isn't anyone awake? I stayed on the sidewalk sitting next to the human.

After a few hours he finally woke up. He opened his eyes and stared at me. Maybe he forgot? No he didn't. He got up and started running. Damn it! My legs were still hurting!

He was pretty quick. When I finally stood up, he was already out of view. I didn't have enough energy to fly, so I tried to run. I pushed myself.

I used all of the strength that I had to run. My legs ached with every movement. My vision started to blur. I ran around frantically.

I can't let him escape! I turned every corner but I couldn't find him. Where the hell did he go? The moon was out so it wasn't so dark.

I finally caught a glimpse of his black t-shirt. I ran after him. I felt myself slowing down. I was so tired!

"Wait!" I shouted. Okay that was stupid, it's not like he's gonna listen to me and stop.

He turned a corner and I followed. I saw he had reached a dead end. How lucky.

He turned around and stared at me with fear. I walked towards him. He backed up against the wall.

"Please, don't kill me," he pleaded. I didn't want to kill him. He was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. But he saw what I was and I couldn't risk having him expose this secret. He looked like someone that you couldn't trust.

"It's not my decision whether you die or not," I replied. It really wasn't. The Council makes the choice of whether a human dies or lives.

I was right in front of him now. I felt a pang of guilt. I didn't want to do this, but it has to be done. I punched him right across the face, knocking him out instantly.

The sun was already up. I realized that dead end was just a few blocks away from the academy. I picked up the human and carried him into the academy.

Classes were about to begin and people were heading to their classes. I walked around the halls with my torn and bloody clothes carrying a human. I earned many stares. But I didn't care, I was exhausted and was panting like a dog.

I looked for the infirmary. I walked past Hunter and he grabbed my arm. I turned around and glared at him.

"Let go," I demanded.

"Why are you carrying a human around?" He asked.

"None of your business," I retorted. He released his grip on my arm and I walked off.

I finally arrived at the infirmary. It was near my first class, so of course I encountered my group. Britney and Trevor were holding hands, Audriana was talking to Zack and Kyle was listening to his ipod. When they looked at me they were more than shocked.

Audriana opened her mouth, "Avril, what happ-"

"Who did this to you?!" Kyle cut her off and ran towards me.

"Do I look that bad?" I asked. Of course I do. I was right in front of the infirmary.

"Who is this guy?" Kyle pointed to the human in my arms in disgust.

"I don't know," I replied and walked into the infirmary.

I was greeted by the nurse, Ms. Wells. She had shoulder length blond hair and dark brown eyes. She was pretty young for a nurse.

"Hello. Um, how can I help you?" She asked, confused when she saw me carrying a human.

"Oh my gosh, what happened to you?" She gasped when she looked at me.

"I fought a Hybrid," I replied.

"What!?" I turned around and saw Kyle standing behind me. What does he want?

"Kyle, go to class," I said.

"No," he replied. I decided not to argue with him, he's a really stubborn person.

"I was fighting a Hybrid and when it was over, this boy was there. I don't know how much he saw, but he saw enough to beg me not to kill him." I told my story.

It was still painful to carry him with all of my wounds. Ms. Wells seemed to notice that because she took him from my arms and put him on one of the beds.

The infirmary was just like any other nurse's office, except there was more space, beds, and medicine. The beds were separated by sky blue curtains.

I saw a mirror and looked into it. My face was pale from so much blood loss, There was dried blood all over my face, my arms were slit, my skinny jeans and shirt were both ripped and revealed gashes and cuts and my hair was cut and were all different lengths. Overall, I look horrible.

"Let me heal your wounds." Ms. Wells came in. "Take off your clothes. You have wounds under there and I wanna make sure I healed all of them."

"Uh.." I began.

"Look I don't like it either, but as the nurse I have to make sure your wounds are healed." She was serious and looking into her eyes I could tell she really didn't like it.

I turned around to Kyle who was still there.

"Leave." I shooed him off. He shook his head. He's starting to aggravate me.

Ms. Wells shook her head and lead me to one of the beds next to the one the human was in. I took off my clothes obediently, with only my bra and underwear. I felt really uncomfortable.

After a few minutes I was completely healed. Ms. Wells left me so I could put my clothes back on. I grabbed my clothes when I heard movement.

"Aah! Please don't kill me!" I heard an unfamiliar male voice yell. I saw something pull the curtain and saw the human look at me with wide eyes.

"No, please dont kill me!" He screamed.

I felt my cheeks redden and I did something I barely did until last night.

I screamed.
