Chapter 14

~Hunter POV~

"Kiss me," I said without thinking.

What the fuck?! Why did I say that?

"What the fuck?" Avril exclaimed.

Why did I say that to her? Of all people, why did I say that to Avril?!

Gotta make up an excuse, gotta make up an excuse! I got it!

"Because, you hate me and I want you to feel disgusted," I faked a smirk. Why do I feel so nervous?

Avril scowled at me. I looked at her pink, perfectly shaped lips. I want to touch them. No! What the hell am I thinking?

Hunter, you have to stay in control!

"No," she responded.

I felt a small pain in my heart. What the fuck? Why am I feeling like this?

"I was just kidding," I said quickly, looking away from her.

"Then what do you want me to do?" She asked.

I can't think of anything. The only reason I was trying to control people was so I could stay on the Council.

They made me enroll into this school to make sure the Devils and Angels don't cause trouble. I have to stay on the Council, no matter what.

"Just," I paused. "Just try not to cause anymore trouble."

"It's not my fault that Xander got involved in this," she scoffed. "So is that all you want from me?"

"And listen and do what I tell you to do," I said sternly.

"Like what?"

"Like if I need your help with something." Okay, I don't know what I'm talking about, but she doesn't know that.

"Um, okay," Avril replied, awkwardly.

Damn it! Why am I acting like this?

I glanced at Kyle. He was glaring at me. I smirked. I was pissing this guy off.

I'll help Avril and that human. I don't know why I'm doing this.

I guess I'm being nice today.

~Avril POV~

Okay, Hunter's offer was a little weird, but what the hell. I didn't really understand his offer, but doing them would help Xander.

"So, how exactly are you gonna convince them to save Xander?" I asked.

"I don't know, I'll just try." Hunter shrugged his shoulders. Why is he helping me in the first place?

I heard Kyle clear his throat, as if to remind us that he was there.

"So, Avril is there anything else that you need?" Kyle asked.

"Um, no," I replied.

"Then can you please leave?" He looked at Hunter like he was going to tell him something private.

"Sure, bye." I waved and left.

"So, how did it go?" Audriana asked the moment I stepped foot in the dorm.

"It was okay," I responded, jumping on my bed and hugged my pillow.

"That's nice. You know, they'll be out tomorrow since their fight wasn't as bad as yours."

Audriana was looking into the mirror at her reflection. Her light brown hair was tied in a high ponytail. She was wearing a hot pink shirt with a red heart, that was tight enough to show off all of her curves. She was wearing a short denim skirt with and pink converses. I'm guessing she's going on a date with Jake.

"You're leaving me again?" I asked.

She nodded and looked at herself in the mirror. I yawned.

"Ew, cover your mouth when you yawn," she said playfully.

"No."

She sighed. "So, how do I look?"

"You look fine," I sighed.

"Seriously, how do I look?" She repeated.

"Why don't you wear the bracelet that Jake bought you?"

"Ooh, good idea!" She started to search for it.

"Found it!" She exclaimed, holding up the bracelet. The chain was silver and there was a small pink gem in the shape of a heart. It shined in the light. There was a knock on the door.

"Can you open that?"  

I got off of my bed and opened the door.

"Hey there little sis," Jake greeted, giving me a hug. He was wearing a green Aeropostale shirt, black jeans and black converses. His short blond hair had that messy look. His shirt made his green eyes shine. 

 Audriana walked up to him and kissed him, then they both left. Leaving me all alone in the dorm.

I laid down on my bed and looked at the ceiling. I stayed there for about 10 minutes. I was so bored!

 I walked out into the school grounds. It was dark out, the moon shining in the sky. I stopped walking and sighed. There was only one thing on my mind.

Will the Council decide to kill Xander?

"Aaaahh!!"

My thoughts were cut off by a scream. I looked around. Where did that scream come from?

"Aaaaahh!!"

I heard it again. It was coming from outside of the school. I ran and found a dark alley.

I saw Natalie. She was crouching on the ground. Her sword was on the other side of the alley. Her right arm was gushing blood. Her jaw was clenched, tears were streaming down her from her green eyes. There was someone biting her arm. A man.

He had a horn on the right side of his head. Half of a halo above his left. An Angel wing on his left and a Devil wing on his right.

He was another Hybrid.
