Sometimes the sadness is too real in my eyes
It scares people, makes them go away
Facing their life's truth would be too much
Too much to continue at the end of the day
I'm not sure I would choose it all again
Open my eyes to the despairs I now hold
I weep for the child, the sick and the hungry
I cry for the animals, the wet and the cold
It's good to have empathy within
But constant burden is hard to bear
Drowning my thoughts with world's worry
It's hard to get over, life's not fair
