I want to know why
My veins hurt daily
From the caldera
Collapsed inside me
My blood used to run
Perpetually
Magma once felt warm
I want to know why
I became so cold
The warming movement
I no longer feel
My heart used to beat
Affectionately
But my chest lay still
I want to know why
My blood has dried up
Along with my tears
I can't feel your touch
Liquid turned solid
Coagulated
Hardened my vessels
I want to know why
Lava turned to rock
I want to know how
My heart ceased to pump
I want to know when
I will feel warm again
