I don't follow set rules, without any logic.
I'm captain of my path.
My compass is my heart, some see as neurotic.
My intentions are good, yet my actions are bad.
I try to stay in line.
But if society deems, I shall always be sad.
But why I must ask all. It's the law, so they say.
Yes sir, the earth is flat.
But it's nonsense and I keep on my merry way.
Some laws stem from greed, many stupidity.
Amendments in pencil.
Many are changed, disproving all validity.
Can you not feel the warmth that once made us neighbors?
Thou shall love like themselves.
Must we really write down these humane reminders?
I do not look to the books for my moral code.
Instilled in me like seeds.
Deeds will bloom. Public flowers from that which I've sowed.
The future remains unknown, despite me knowing.
Thus, tread lightly, my friend.
Follow the path, the way the river is flowing.
