I don't want to be president
I won't be just another face
Or any place's reigning queen
Distracting masses from malign
Become society's smoke screen
But inaction would be unsound
The world is not a film to watch
Turn on the news to rant and rave
Sun rises to a normal day
Lost are any dreams to help save
We know the truth behind our masks
Fear of betrayal
Change
Pride
Choosing to put the blinders on
Falsely claim man will never learn
Been the same since the break of dawn
In the beginning, god created
Yet now we just wait for his fix
Each soul has an eternal choice
To live in paradise today
Each man has an eternal voice
Stir the pot, change the recipe
Conjure up the will to go on
Beckoning your fellow brother
Let all actions bespeak the need
To make peace with one another
