Katniss POV
Goodbyes are the worst, and today I have to face one i've dreaded all summer. Instead of going to the regular public school in District 12 I usually would attend, Prim and I are now going to District Academy, a boarding school in the capital. I have to say goodbye to my mother, who will be a mess without us. Ever since my dad died, the only thing keeping her stable is us. I don't know why she's making us go.
But besides the goodbye part, I'm actually excited. People from each district attend this school. I want to meet knew people, it'll be interesting making friends from each district. Also, this school can't possibly be worse than my other one.
