Chapter Five

"Alright, class, you can pick your lab partners" Mr. Beete says letting everyone run to their friends to do the lab together.

I give "the look" to Clove wanting to be her partner, you know the look, everyone does the look when you can pick partners and your best friend is in that class. She looks at Cato, then back at me with a nervous smile. I just give a head nod in his direction and she smiles and asks him to be partners.

I look around for Annie to see if she'll be my partner. It's too late, Gale already asked which makes Finnick give an annoyed look. Gotta tell this to Clove later.

"Wanna be partners?" A familiar voice asks me. I turn around and see his beautiful blue eyes, it makes me blush. "Sure" I say and we head to a lab table.

Finnick and Johanna ended up being partners. Which is good. He should be glad he didn't get stuck with Glimmer, she annoys me. Sorry, but it's true.

Speaking of the hoe, I'm not saying devil, she's worse than that, she's staring at Cato. Please stop you're ruining my ship. ( authors note: me in the first movie when cato slept with glimmer instead of clove. asdfghjk UGH)

"Katniss??" Peeta snaps me out of my thoughts.

"Sorry" I laugh putting my hand behind my head. "So what are we doing?"

"I have no idea." He laughs. His laugh is so cute. It matches him. Ugh he is so cute.

"Come on Peeta! You're the smart one here!" I nudge him. We both blush and there's an awkward silence.

"The group should do something after school" Peeta suggests. That'd be fun.

"What so I'm part of the group now?" I ask smirking. I'm glad I'm getting involved in this stuff, if I didn't I'd be home alone reading waiting for Clove to get back.

"Well duh, everyone loves you Katniss." Peeta says, making me blush once again. God Damn it.

"Re-" The bell rings interrupting what I was going to say.

"Katniss, lets walk together to English" Clove says smiling. I guess her and Cato had a good time in class together.

"Bye Kat see you later" Peeta says. Kat? No one's called me Kat before. I wave goodbye and don't question it.

"How'd it go?" I ask Clove.

"Good, I think. He mentioned the dance. Now hopefully he asks me." She said plainly.

"So I got some information on our mission." I said and smirked.

"Oooh Oooh!" She says, "I've got some too, you go first."

"Okay so after you ditched me to be with Cato" I laugh jokingly, " I was gonna be partners with Annie, but Gale already asked her. Which made Finnick pissed. He kept glancing over at them. Something's gotta be going on." I said.

"Well sorry Katniss but my news beats yours" Clove smirks. "Guess what Foxface texted me in class."

"What?" I ask.

"Gale's gonna ask her out"
