Throughout the day, I was trying to process what Clove told me. Gales asking out Annie? But.. I like her and Finnick together. From the looks of it, Gale and Annie barely hangout?
It's time for lunch and I'm one of the last to get there. I take a seat next to Clove, who is sitting besides Cato. Get it.
As I sit down, Finnick across from me puts his hand out. "Sugar Cube?" He offers. Annie, who sits next to him, takes a couple off the pile when he's not looking and laughs.
"I'm good, but thanks for the offer." I say. "Why sugar cubes? They're just plain sugar."
"Exactly. Better to grab something sweet when you can before it's gone." He smirks.
Peeta comes in the lunchroom looking annoyed. He plops down his stuff and sits next to me.
"You're not gonna eat?" I ask since he's not getting up to get food.
"I lost my appetite." He says twiddling his thumbs.
"Madge?" Johanna asks. Peeta just nods.
"Who's Madge?" I think, but accidentally say out loud. I hate being the newbie.
"An annoying slut." Marvel says.
"Shut up, Madge is cool." Gale defends her. Are they friends?
"If you think she's such a great person Gale, go out with her." Finnick rolls his eyes. Clove and I give each other a glance. I'm trying so hard not to laugh, this is too funny to me.
"Actually, I had another person in mind." Gale says. Wait... Is he gonna-
My thoughts were interrupted by Gale's voice "Annie, will you go out with me?"
Finnick should have listened to his own advice.. Better grab something sweet when you can before it's gone.
