Chapter Eighteen

Katniss' POV

The weekend is sadly over and we have to go back to school. The class that I thought I'd hate the less was lunch, but that seemed to be the worst. The whole table was awkward. Peeta, not speaking to me or Gale. Does he believe me about Gale and Delly? Or is he mad for another reason? Annie is avoiding Finnick as much as possible. Johanna is trying to ease awkward tension from the two. Foxface and Glimmer look they're about to break into a fist fight any minute. Well, at least Clove and Cato are okay.

"Okay, what's up everyone's asses today?" Johanna tries breaking up the weird silences. Everyone doesn't respond except for Annie, who does a small shrug, but doesn't speak.

Johanna still is the only one who decides to speak up. " Jesus, you're all sucking the life out of me. Whatever it is it that makes you as boring as a sack of potatoes or as awkward as my Step dad Greg better be dealt with today. We're hanging out tomorrow since we have off, all of us are. We're going to sit around a campfire and sing fucking kumbaya and have a nice time. Okay?" The bell rings as we part our different ways thinking of what Johanna just said and how we're going to fix this.

"Clove do you remember the night of the party?" I ask, maybe she can help back up the Gale and Delly cheating scandal.

"Yeah Katniss, It was saturday. I wasn't that drunk." Clove laughs as she makes her bed back at our dorm.

"No, I mean what happened there. Do you remember when I helped you into a room? Actually Two. You didn't lay in the first."

"Kinda."

"Do you remember who was in it?"

"Okay this is gonna sound crazy, but.."

"But what?!" Did she remember about Delly and Gale!?

"I think Cato was in there with me." She smirks. Damn it Clove. No wrong room.

"Well he was, but before that. In the other room."

"He was?!?" Clove asks excitedly. How could she not remember that?

"Yes Clove, but do you remember who was in the other room?"

"Ha, no. For some reason I remember seeing Gale and Delly together, but it's just my drunkness. Annie and Delly look nothing alike."

"Clove it was Delly." Finally someone else has my back on this!

"What!? You're kidding."

"I tried telling Peeta but he said I was just like Madge. We need to get them to see it for themselves. Both Annie and Peeta. We need a plan."

"How about we go for another mission, just like when you first came here." Clove smirks.

" I guess we should." I smile back at her.

The "mission" was a crazy one, but it might work. We took Annie's phone while she was in the shower and asked Gale if he was free to hangout. And what a surprise, he wasn't. Thresh shares a dorm with Gale, and he told us Gale was not there. Peeta has a date with Delly later today, but we told Peeta that Delly wanted to be picked up "early". Gale and Delly are in her dorm now, probably. It doesn't really hurt if they aren't. We just have to wait and see if Peeta says anything. He definitely will to Annie, they're very close. He wouldn't want her with a cheater.

Now we wait.
