Chapter Twenty One

Two days of school got canceled because of the blizzard so far! But I can't go to her concert. I'm really bummed about that

Finnick's POV

"He abused me."

I'm going to kill him. Since Gales and Thresh's dorms right next to mine, I leave Annie in ours, and go next door.

"Gale." I say while entering their room.

"What Odair? I'm in the middle of something."

I punch him in the face, which obviously startles him, "What the fuck?"

I let my anger out by beating the shit out him. "Why the fuck did you hurt her?" I yell. He doesn't answer, he just sits covering his nose since its bleeding. I give him a last kick and head back to my dorm where Annie is sitting and waiting. I enter with a huge grin on my face.

"What'd you do?" She asks.

"Nothing." I lie.

"Bull shit." She knows me too well. But I'm still not telling her.

"It doesn't matter. What does matter is that you're okay." I tell her but she just looks down.

"Annie you deserve so much better than this."

"No I don't." Her eyes become filled with tears again.

"Yes, yes you do." I say, as I lean in and kiss her.

Katniss' P.O.V.

I feel bad for Annie and Peeta. I feel horrible for letting them now, but yet glad they found out.

"I hope she's okay." I tell Clove

"She will be, she's with Finnick, he always cheers her up." Clove reassures me.

My phone rings interrupting the awkward silence we just had after Clove spoke.

"It's Peeta!" I say and read the text.

Peeta: Come over. Please.

"I gotta go Clove, I'm sorry." I say putting on my shoes.

"What?! I can't go? I helped with this whole plan." Clove complains. I raise an eyebrow, "Fine whatever. I was gonna hangout with Cato anyway. Have fun with loverboy." She winks.

I leave and walk to Peeta's and Finnick's dorm. I knock on the door and Finnick opens it with a huge grin on his face.

"..Hey Finnick.. is Peeta here?" I scan the room looking for him, but I see Annie who is just looking down blushing. What did I just interrupt?

"Oh, he went looking for you." Finnick answers, he takes out his phone and calls him, "Where'd you go? Katniss is here looking for you."

He hangs up without saying goodbye. "Peeta's dumb and went to your dorm. He's coming back now so you can chill here while we wait for him."

The door opens and we see Peeta. He comes up and hugs me without saying a word. He let goes of the hug and looks at Annie and Finnick, hinting at them to live because we need "alone time".

"I'm really sorry Katniss, I didn't believe you, and I should have. I'm a terrible friend. I also pushed Madge away too, I'm glad that didn't happen to you too." He apologizes.

"It's okay Peeta, I'm just glad you found out." I smile.

He hugs me again and I never want him to let go.
