"Annie." is all that Finnick says while he runs up to her. He pulls her into a hug, and is the first to comfort her. They really need to date. Damn it Gale.
I grabbed a tissue and wiped her tears off her cheek.
"Honey, what's wrong?" Clove asks. The two are like siblings.
"He.." She starts but doesn't finish until a few moments after. "He never showed up. I waited for a hour."
"Where is he, I'm going to beat the shit out of him." Finnick heads for the door but is stopped by Peeta.
"Don't do something you'll regret" Peeta says. Another reason I like Peeta, he always wants to do the right thing. But I don't
"Let him do it Peeta, I want to see Gale get pounded" Johanna smirks. I want to too. He hurt Annie.
"No don't do that.. He probably had a reason not to show up." Annie finally speaks up.
"Are you fucking kidding me Annie?" Finnick reads my thoughts. "There should be no reason to just leave you waiting." Annie just looks down.
A knock on the door interrupts the awkward silence and the rest of the group fills into the room.
"Annie how was the date?" Finch smirks. Annie just walks out of the room and Finnick goes after her, realizing he was a little bit rude earlier.
"..Okay, well I've got an announcement and i'm not gonna wait til they get back in here because God knows how long they'll be. Party at my place.. tomorrow!" Cato pumps his fist and everyone cheers.
"Cato's parties are the best" Clove tells me.
"So it seems" I laugh
