Sorry for not updating in like two weeks. I really didn't know what to write, but I figured it out now! This chapter is a short one, but I'll be posting the next ones which will be longer next week (I'm very busy til sunday this week so I can't but ill do it ASAP)
Annie's POV
I run to my room and throw on my bathing suit. The pool here is the best, I don't want to miss a minute in it. I came here all the time when I was little. I met Finnick here. I'm so glad Johanna brought us here. Finnick and I planned to go to the pool when we first got here. After I get all my stuff I hurry to Finnicks room, but pass Katniss' and Cloves door. I think I should invite them too, It'd be nice to have them come too. Rather than Finnick and Johanna, they are my two closest friends.
I knock on the door and after a few moments I hear Clove coming to the door.
"I'm going to the pool, you wanna come?" I say as they answer the door.
"Annie, We just got here. Like five minutes ago." Clove laughs.
"We're not even unpacked yet. It'd be cool to come though. We'll be down there soon." Katniss says
"Okay see you guys later!" and with that I rush to Finnick's door.
I knock on Finnick's door and right away he answers, "Let's go!" He says throwing me on his back. He carries me as we walk down the hallways. I feel bad, even though he is strong it's still extra weight. After a while I hop down. "I'll beat you there." I smirk running to the pool.
I run to the pool forgetting the floor would be wet, I slip and fall to the ground. "Annie are you okay?" Finnick helps me up.He seems to be pretty worried, I don't know why though, I didn't fall badly.
I decide pretend to be hurt to mess with him. I fake a limp to a pool chair and put my stuff down. While he isn't looking I jump in the pool, "Beat ya" I laugh.
"That's it Annie" He says jumping in after me and starts splashing me.
After a mini splash fight, Katniss and Clove come. Not to be mean, but now I regret inviting them now. I wanted to stay in that moment forever. It was nice being alone with Finnick, we're best friends so we are a lot, but this time it was different. This is where I met him, it's our special place. Even if it wasn't here, I'd still want to be alone with him. I really like him, more than a friend. But that's all i'll ever be to him. A friend.
