Victoria's point of view

I ducked under the table the moment the windows started shattering into small, yet painful shards. I got some small cuts on my arms and a few on my face, but otherwise I was unharmed. That was definitely not gonna last long.

The Dragon's roar not only broke all the windows in the cafeteria, but also caused mass panic among the students, who seemed to already have gotten past being shell-shocked by the sight of a very real Dragon.

High schoolers were screaming in terror and fleeing the glass-covered cafeteria. If I hadn't seen a Dragon before, I would also be running.

This particular Dragon was a very fiery red, with razor sharp claws and a unnerving steely gaze. It's eyes looked like they held a fire that wanted to consume everyone and everything.

It was roughly the same size of the school and looked like it could eat a school bus in one gulp. From looking at the color of the Dragon's scales, I could tell that this Dragon could most definitely breathe fire.

The Dragon was currently outside, still causing mass panic on the school grounds. I knew that this was not gonna end well for the people Floresville or at least the school.

I looked over at where Daniell and the others were currently standing. They looked over at Morgan for the signal to attack. Sometimes we make plans of attack before charging into battle. We rarely use them.

Instead of giving the quick response to just attack, Morgan gestured behind me. I turned around to see Heather, Mackenzie, Jessica and Ava crouched behind a table staring at us in confusion.

"Victoria, you need to get out of here. Come on let's go before the Dragon sees you." Ava whisper-shouted at me. It was nice to know my friends would stay behind to make sure I was okay.

I looked over at Morgan and the others, but they also seemed quite unsure of what to do about my friends. I made the decision to get my friends to safety before helping with the Dragon problems. I always tried to save innocents when I could.

I looked over at Morgan, then I pointed at the Dragon and then slide my finger across my throat. That was our signal just to go ahead and kill something.

Morgan shrugged and finally gave the long-awaited signal for the others to charge. They grabbed their various daggers, swords, and staffs from their satchels that Natalie and I had enchanted to hold our weapons.

"Victoria, come on! Leave those guys, they're obviously crazy." Heather said. I could see the shear terror in their eyes. They hadn't grown up with this, but I had.

"No, you guys need to leave. I can handle this." I said. I didn't want them to be caught in the middle of us fighting a fire-breathing Dragon.

"You can't handle this. This isn't some book where magic is real." Mackenzie said. Oh how wrong she was.

I never told my school friends about the fact that from where I actually come from, magic is real. I also didn't tell them I wasn't from their dimension either.

I turned to look at the Dragon and saw Hama lose his dagger, then he magically summoned the plants from all around the school to help him. Let's just say that doesn't exactly convince Jessica and the others that they should leave.

"Did you see that?" Jessica shouted dumb-founded by Hama's show of plant magic.

"Your friends are not who they say they are." Ava said looking anxious to leave this chaotic scene.

"No, they're not and neither am I." They looked at me incredulously, "Please leave and the moment I can, I will explain everything to you four." I said frantic to get them out of here and to somewhere safe.

They look at me warily and I'm unsure if they will actually leave willingly. Finally they get up from the table they were hiding behind and exit the cafeteria.

Suddenly a huge explosion scorched the side of the school, as the Dragon shot a column of fire towards Daniell, who was shooting ice-tipped arrows in hopes of harming the Dragon.

Luckily, Daniell avoided the fire, but while he was momentarily distracted the malevolent elementals were starting to surround him. This whole thing was going south.

I turn towards the window nearest the Dragon. Unfortunately the cafeteria is on the second floor and the stairs have been destroyed by the Dragon.

I jump off the balcony that's outside of the cafeteria and hit the ground running. That was the first time I've done that maneuver, but I've always wanted to try that out.

Thanks to it luck the Dragon can breathe fire and that's gonna make this pretty hard to defeat, then I noticed the army defending the Dragon.

Surrounding the Dragon and attacking my friends, was thirty-something malevolent elementals. Each elemental was either battling one of my friends on the battlefield or aiding the Dragon in causing mass panic.

I unsheathed my katana from it's magically concealed cover and I ran over to where Daniell was and helped him with the elementals that were currently overwhelming him.

"Hey." I said greeting/aiding Daniell who was still trying to shoot the Dragon while dodging the spells from the elementals.

"Can I ask you something?" Daniell asked shooting at the Dragon then finally switching to his sword to fend off the army.

"You already did, but shoot." I replied as I stabbed a malevolent elemental in the chest.

"Why do you talk like that?" He inquired curiously.

"Talk like what?" I said ducking just in time as cursed blade nearly cut off my head. I parried the sword and lopped off the head of the blade's owner.

"You say y'all, wanna, and hey." Daniell said while dodging

  "So?" I replied.

"I just figured you'd talk all royal with you being a princess." He said slicing at elementals, who in turn tried to hit him with spells. I simply rolled my eyes.

"I've got a plan." Daniell said suddenly.

He relayed to me his plan inbetween attacking elementals and defending himself from their spells. If this plan worked we could take out the elementals and the Dragon all at once.
