Chapter 24

*Toast's Pov*

It was getting dark outside. I sat down and turned on the tv. Crystal came down from upstairs and Kat looked at me warmly. Crystal's ears twitches. She paused and looked around quickly. She lept up and bounched off the wall and up the stairs.

"Crystal? Wha-" but she turned and gave me a death glare and put her finger to her lips telling me to shush.

She continued to do her thing climbing over everything and she even wound up on the celing. She dropped back down her eyes had turned to a bright yellow, cat eyes.

She made quick movements and her ears, moved silently and then she ran up to the door threw it open and ran outside with Kat and I close behind.

She made her way around the whole yard, stopping sniffing leaping up into trees and leaping off again into a sprint. We rounded the corner near the woods and out by the shed, there lay Ghost surrounded by black blood. He lay motionless and the blood continued to run around him in a pool. Claw marks where on his face and arms. His back was a huge open wound, you could see some bone, it was unruly.

Crystal turned to us, "Get him on my back... NOW!!" She shouted and turned into a huge silver wolf. We carefully put him on her back. She whimpered and point to her back and us. We climbed on and held onto her fur as she brust into full speed. Kat sat up front, Ghost in the middle and me at the back.

Not again sir! I thought as we approached the hospital, again. We took him inside, bloody and all and they took him in immediately.

After a very long time they let us in to see him. He was in room E-564. He was on a bed with lots of things hooked up to him. His ribs where broken and he had wrappings all around his shoulders, head, torso, right hand and a bit around his left leg.

He was half awake. "Johnny? Is Nycole here?"

We all paused. Crystal bumped into me, Nycole must have pushed her. "Yeah she's here."

"Where? I don't see her...."

"Your not quite consious yet sir so maybe your vision is blurred." Suddenly behind Ghosts bed appered Nycole, she just kind of dropped out of the air. She stood up and put her finger to her lips and told us to not let him know where she was or what happened. She snuck her way over to us and stood next to us.

"I'm here Ghost." She said quietly.

"What about Kat and Crystal?"

"Here! They both said in unison. He laughed a little. It was sad to see sir so crippled, and the fact that we didn't help him or heard him scream was worse.

Half of his face was covered by bandages on his left side. After we had all sat in silence for a while we where told to leave by the nurse and Ghost had fallen back asleep.

We all walked home in silence. Nycole told us about what had happened and that she had put an enchantment on us all so no weird stuff could happen, unless some other powerful thing was cast, then it wouldn't work but that we should be fine for the time being.

We all went home and slept, I just hoped Ghost would be alright after what happened, we didn't even know what went down and would fine out later when Ghost felt better.
