*Toast's Pov*
The sunlight shone brightly through the window and bounced around the room. My sheets where ruffled and my hair a mess. Foot steps where heard downstairs along with the shouting of girls voices.
Kat must be having one if those days again. I got up and out of bed and dressed in my casual clothes. A grey shirt and jacket with a nicer pair of blue jeans. I brushed my hair till it was the way I liked it and slipped on some older tennis shoes, making my way down stairs to the now calmer conversation of the girls.
"Well I'm just saying that he doesn't need to know okay?" Said Kat who was sitting at the round table we had, across from Crystal who had a huge mound if pancakes on her plate. She must have had at least 13 of them.
"Know what?" I asked from behind her. Kat jumped a little and laughed.
"It's nothing you need to worry about, sit down and enjoy some pancakes that me and Crystal made!" She said happily and patted the seat next to her right.
I took my seat next to Kat and took some pancakes. They where great. Something tasted a little off but it might just have been a little over done, I didn't question it, not wanting to be rude.
As we all sat around the table Kat looked a little uneasy. "I uhh, I'll be right back." She said as she got up and went down the hall to the bathroom.
"I'll go check on her." I said to Crystal who had on a blank stare as her eyes looked down the hall. I turned my back to her and went after Kat.
I found her in the bath room sitting down with her hand over her stomach. "What happened?" I asked her.
She looked up at me and tried to stand up but she nearly fell over she was swaying so badly. I picked her up bridal style and carried her up to her room. Crystal stood up from her spot and followed us. I set her down in her room and sent Crystal to get a cold wet cloth. She was burning up.
"Why don't you roll up your pant legs and sleeves some to get the heat off of you?" I suggested to her. She nodded no and held her arms. "But it will help you!" I said back. She nodded no again. "Well fine. Just-" But Crystal walked in the room with a bucket and a cold wet cloth.
"I brought a bucket invade she threw up." Said Crystal. I took the cloth from her and she set the bucket by the side of the bed. I laced the cloth on her forehead and she let out a small sigh. Soon enough I found her sleep.
"That will do for now Crystal. I'll look after her you can go do what ever, but be prepared because I might need you."
She nodded and backed off closing the door on her way out. I placed her arms by her side and lifted up her sleeves. I paused a bit as some markings came out underneath it. I rolled her sleeves up to her shoulders and looked at the marks. It was in the shape of a rose and I immediately recognized the marks as very old cuts. I let out a small gasp.
Kat had been cutting herself a long time ago. I put down her sleeves half way to cover the cuts. I would talk to her later about it. But at least they where not new. I felt the cloth on her head and it felt warm. I went out to go rinse it again.
When I came back Kat had woken up and was trying to sit up but couldn't. I rushed over and helped her prop herself up. "Wh-what happened? I feel really woozy and light headed."
"I'm not really sure. But your okay now. But put this on your head." I held out the cloth to her and she gingerly put it to her head.
"Okay. Well I am going to go back to breakfast." She said but I put a hand on her shoulder.
"No you need to rest." I said sternly back.
"I'm fine I swear! I be been feeling kinda on the bad side but it usually goes away!"
I studied her and met her smiling face. "Alright fine, but explain to me what's on your arm."
"There's nothing on my arm. Can I go now?" She asked again. She was lying to me. I shook my head and helped her up. She felt a bit lighter than earlier but I ignored it and helped her down stairs where Crystal was waiting.
