Chapter 30

*Toasts Pov*
I woke up and was still in the cage. Kat sat over to my right in her cage and noticed me. She gave a small wave and continued to stare at what ever she was looking at below us. There was a bowl of soup and a spoon on the floor in front of me. I looked at it then ate it. I was famished.

Once that was gone I stood up and looked around once more. We where still suspended in the air, our cages swinging ever so slightly. It was warm and below us was the test lab. Kat called my name.

"Hey Toast? What do you think the others are doing? Are they roaming around trying to find us?"

"I think they are."As I said that a loud voice came out from around the room.

"Hello. How are you feeling? Are you up yet?"

Kat gave a small snarl, she really hated these people. "Yeah we're up. What do you want?"

"Shesh no need to be rude. I just came to give you a report. Your friends are in the building. There is no doubt about it, they are looking for you two. So to ensure they don't find what they are looking for. We will be doing the tests today. You see that lab down there don't you? Your next down there. I will have one of my people come begin the tests. Have fun!" Said the static voice as it turned the speakers off.

"God! What are we supposedly to do?!" Said Kat rather hastily. Our cages shifted, and we fell to their floors. The cages where descending. "Now what?" She asked me.

I got up slowly and looked her in the eyes. "I have a plan." I said.

As the cages meet the ground, the doors flung open. There stood the boy we had seen earlier with his two huge beasts he had created. They snarled and let us see their huge razor sharp teeth as they opened their mouths that dripped saliva.

The boy had a devil smile. He had jet black hair a black jacket and dark blue jeans. But it wasn't Jimmy, it was someone else. He had on a black hoodie with a dark grey shirt on underneath. His black jeans covered most of his high top shoes. His symbol on the back looked like a death flame, black, grey, cold and filled with dispare.

He gave a small laugh. "Welcome! Glad you could make it! But not for long..." He laughed again and brought out handcuffs and locked them onto us before we could resist. They where tight.

He brought out a dagger and held it to Kats throat. "Now be a good girl and do as your told." He said quietly to her. His demon beasts flanked us as he lead us to the lab.

As we approached he signaled for me and the wolves to stay on guard and to watch me. He lead Kat over to a cylinder tube and opened the door and shoved her inside. He walked over to the control panel and looked at me with a smile. "Watch carefully, your next." He said. Kat banged on the doors and screamed her lungs out.

She cracked the door made of glass. The boy was surprised. He began to press buttons as smoke came in the tube. "HOLD YOUR BREATH KAT!!" I yelled at her. She held her breath as smoke filled the tube. She pounded the door and then with one hard two foot kick the glass shattered into small pieces. I ducked as a chunk flew at me. Kat was fuming with rage. She broke into a run at the boy and punched him hard in the face. He flew backwards with blood dripping from his nose and mouth. He coughed up some blood and wiped it away with his jacket. Kat grabbed the key to the hand cuffs and undid ours. They fell to the floor and we watched him get up from the ground.

He stood up with red eyes and laughed. As he stood up and his hair fell into his face covering one of his eyes. "It's going to take a lot more than that to stop me!" He said and sprinted at us with his daggers. He threw one at Kat and missed, he was after her. She dodged it and ran to get it. She scooped it up and met it with a blade. She grabbed his shirt and flipped him, bring him down hard.

He got up and ran at her again. A box lay half open and inside where our weapons, along with a random cat on top. I moved the cat and began to put all of my weapons back in their cases and hiding places. "Kat! Here!" I shouted at her and held up her special daggers. She nodded at me, punched him back and sprinted at me. "Catch!" I yelled as the boy was running at her. I flung her daggers at her and she caught them mid air, spun around and met him head on.

The sound of metal clashing rang around the room. I saw a door and bolted to it, Kat saw me, dodged an attack and sprinted after me. The boy huffed and whistled and two large demon beasts came after us. They where coming closer and closer, and we had no where to run but to the door.
