I quickly realize what's going on and pull away fast, running my hands through my hair frantically.
"I'm sorry." Luke mumbles.
"It's fin- you're fine. Don't worry about it." I piece my words together and sigh, bringing my knees up to my chest and wrapping my arms around them.
"If I had known you didn't want to I wouldn't have done it, honestly." He shrugs and I shoot him a confused look.
"If you had known I didn't want to? Luke, you know how I feel about Calum." I simply state and he shrugs once again.
"I know, but don't even lie, you enjoyed it for at least a second." He smirks and I can't help but smack his shoulder kiddingly.
"Stop, Calum will kill us both if he finds out." I kick my legs off the couch, resting them on the table in front of us.
"Yeah, I know." He pauses before leaning towards me again, whispering in my ear. "It can be our little secret."
That same chill sends up my spine as he uses my leg to help push him up off the couch.
What the hell is going on? I don't like Luke, I know that for a fact. It's honestly only because I'm drunk and sad and not thinking straight.
I'm knocked out of my thoughts by my phone buzzing. I scan the table and easily find it, picking it up and checking the Caller ID.
Finally, Calum decides to contact me.
"Hey." I mumble.
"Hey babe- sorry, hey Tori."
My heart melts at the familiar nickname. God damn I miss hearing it regularly.
"Where'd you go?" I whisper, not intentionally trying to be quiet.
"Out."
"Will you be back soon?" I question, hoping for the answer I know I won't get.
"I hope so."
My head flashes back to the night Calum and I talked for the first time. Him calling me at 3 a.m to come pick him up and never explaining why or what happened.
"Are you okay?" He interrupts my thoughts and I nod as if he can see me.
"Drunk." I blankly respond and he chuckles.
"This early in the morning? Victoria, you simply are a train wreck."
"Don't talk to me like that you loser." I'm smiling so hard my cheeks are beginning to hurt. Just talking to this boy makes me the happiest girl in the world.
"I'll see you soon. Love you." He quickly hangs up before I can even make out a response, leaving my heart beating heavier than before.
Ashton barges through the front door, nearly making me fall off the couch from how bad it startles me.
"I'm back!" He announces and I laugh.
"I'm glad, where'd you go?" My words are slightly slurred and he gives me a funny look.
"Had to pick up my brother for my mom, are you okay? You sound funny."
"She's drunk, mate." Luke answers for me once he reaches the living room, wiping his hands on his jeans.
"Really?" Ashton has clear concern in his voice and I can't help but feel like I've disappointed him.
I simply nod, hiding my face so he can't look me in the eyes.
"I'm sorry." I whisper and he lightly laughs.
"Don't be sorry, I can understand why you wanna be fucked up, I just don't want you to go too far." He stops talking and walks towards me, sitting by me and pulling me in for a hug.
"Especially with Luke, he isn't the best at comforting people."
For a minute I almost forgot Luke kissed me. My eyes shoot up to his and he winks, turning on his heel and walking back towards the kitchen.
I lean my head down, resting in on Ashton's shoulder. My mind wonders off, thinking about Calum once again. Now that I'm reminded of that night we first met, I can't stop thinking about it. He told me I wasn't supposed to know anything, hell he made me promise I would act like it never happened.
Part of me wants to ask, but part of me wants to avoid conflict with him.
I hear a car park outside and I immediately push myself up from the couch and for the door. I open it quickly and look out, noticing Calum climbing out of the drivers seat. I sigh of relief when I see him. I honestly believed he wasn't gonna be coming back.
Then my mind reminds me, I kissed one of his best friends. Well, one of his best friends kissed me.
I instantly feel guilty, but why? Calum cheated on me. I didn't even cheat on him, we aren't together. I can't tell him, because I know he'd throw a fit.
I don't know what to do.
Calum finally approaches the door and pushes it slightly, allowing him to have enough room to push by me and reach my living room.
Once he's in, I shut the door behind him and lock it. He swiftly turns and looks at me, giving me a weird look and looking up the stairs, telling me he has to talk to me.
I simply nod and begin walking up to my room, nearly falling over my own feet. Luckily Calum notices and grips my waist, guiding me up the stairs in front of him.
We reach my room and I kick the door open, not meaning to actually hurt myself when I did so.
I laugh at the small pain in my foot while Calum shuts the door behind him. I fall on to the bed and yawn, Calum joining me soon after.
"What's up?" I whisper.
"I'm sorry."
"For?" The concern in his voice causes me to sit up. He sounds worried, scared, hurt, and basically everything else besides happy.
"Being gone for so long. I didn't expect it to take that long." He grabs my hand with his cold one, rubbing circles into my palm with his thumb.
"Expect what to take that long?" I push for an answer, hoping I might actually get one.
"Don't worry about it." He yanks his hand back and rubs it through his hair. I flinch at his sudden mood change, looking down at my hands and not looking back up.
"Are you still drunk?" He changes the subject, which I'm slightly grateful for.
"Not as much as I was earlier. It's kind of fading away now. I just want a nap." I reply honestly. I had already planned to sleep all day today anyways.
"You and I both, babe."
"Calum," I hiccup. "When was the last time you slept?"
"Don't know. While ago."
"You look exhausted."
"Aw damn, my skin doesn't have its natural glow anymore?" He mocks and I can't help but grin and how childish he can be.
"I'm serious. You need sleep." I grab his wrist and pull him closer to me. He doesn't argue and gladly kicks his feet up, sprawling out on the tiny bed. He lifts his arm up, and without thinking I immediately lay down on his chest.
"Sorry." I go to sit up, but his arm stops me. He reaches over and grabs the blanket and covers both of us up.
Calum quickly sits up and yanks his T-Shirt from over his head, exposing his skin and I swear it's something I will never get tired of.
Once he's comfortable in the bed, I lay my head on his chest once again, tracing over his skin with my index finger.
His breathing slowly gets softer, and after only 10 minutes I can hear a low snore. I look up, and he's out.
I can't help but stare at him in awe. The feelings I have for this boy are ridiculous. No one has ever made me feel like he does. There's this constant rush when I'm with him that I can't get enough of.
This boy will be the death of me.
