Once I know Calum is asleep, I squirm out of his grip and quickly cover him back up. He rolls over to where I previously was and brings the blanket up to his face, hiding it from me.
I open my door and begin walking down the stairs and I automatically recognize the voices I hear. I felt like Luke and Ash would've left, but they proved me wrong.
"Ahh, the princess has arrived." Luke chimes and a small laugh escapes my lips.
"Calum had to talk to me." I answer casually, taking a seat beside Ashton.
"Where is he now?" Ashton asks, eyes not peeling from the TV.
"Sleeping." I stretch my arms and a yawn loudly. "I need sleep too."
"Well we're going to the store later, you're welcome to come with us." Luke offers while scrolling through pictures on his phone.
"When?"
"Like 30 minutes." They both respond at the same time. They're eyes shoot to each other and they immediately begin laughing and high-giving each other. Clearly they didn't plan to give the same answer at the same time.
"Okay, I'll go. I want food first though."
I push myself up from the couch and lightly walk into the kitchen. I grab the bottle of vodka from the counter and return it to the freezer. I begin scanning inside the fridge, freezer and pantry. I settle with a granola bar and some water and begin to unwrap the snack when Luke makes his way up to me.
"I am really sorry about earlier. I sobered up so I'm good now but I just wasn't thinking." He frowns and I nod, telling him it's okay.
"You're fine, Luke." I give him a reassuring smile and he sighs of relief.
"Thank god, I thought you were gonna hate me and things would be awkward."
"No, never that." I pat him on the head and he scrunches his face up, bringing a small smile to my lips.
"Did you mean it when you said you liked me?" I can't help but ask. He nervously laughs and I can't help but blush.
"Well, yeah, but I know you like Calum. I respect that. I just wish he treated you better." He shrugs and I nod with agreement.
"Calum and I have both done pretty fucked up things to each other." I defend our weird on-off relationship.
I know for a fact the reason Calum and I are so on and off is because we believed we could handle a relationship too soon. We need to learn each other first. We can't be together if we don't know how the other one works.
"Yeah, I guess." Luke decided not to argue and I appreciate it. I can't really explain how Calum and I are but all I know is the feelings I have are real, and I can only hope it's the same way for him.
Once I finish my granola bar, I sprinkle my fingers over the trash can to get rid of the extra crumbs. I take one last drink of water and tug my shirt down a little to fully cover my stomach.
I walk back into the living room, Ashton's eyes still focused on the game and Luke beginning to play again.
"What game is this?" I ask while taking my former seat next to Ashton.
"Call of Duty." Ash half whispers.
"Ha, duty." Luke repeats and we all begin laughing at his childish remark.
