Calum immediately makes direct eye contact with me, yanking his hands back to his sides and his breath gets noticeably faster. I reach out for him, hoping to calm him down even in the slightest, but he jerks his body back, pushing himself up on his feet and pacing back and forth.

"Did you not know she was in town?" I mumble and he begins rustling his hands through his hair.

"I knew she was, but I thought she left by now. You met her. You met that bitch. Did she say anything to you?" He questions and I nod.

"That your mum talks about me a lot. Then she said I wasn't as nice as she thought I'd be."

"Why the fuck did she say that?" His voice raises and I stand in my spot, resting my hand on the back of his neck.

"Because she told me to tell you she was in town and I said no. Then she called me mean and I said I'd rather be mean than be a child molester. Then we left."

Calum shoves my hand off his neck and steps back.

"You said what?" He snaps and I'm taken back by his attitude directed towards me.

"That I'd rather be a-"

"Why the fuck would you say that, Tori?! No one knows about that shit except you and my asshole parents!"

"Calum, will you please calm down? I believe you unlike your parents. I want to help you unlike your parents." I plead and he shakes his head and balls his fists.

"I have to go." He turns towards the house and slams the door open, nearly breaking the glass in it.

"Calum!"

"Leave me alone!" He screams and exits my house.

Luke and Ashton give me the worlds most "what the fuck just happened" look and I sigh, letting them know I'd rather not talk about it.

Calum's P.O.V

I start my car and immediately begin driving. I don't know where the hell I'm going or how long I plan on being gone, but I'm leaving. I wish I wouldn't have left Victoria like that, but she really pissed me off. I know she was just trying to help, but god damn did she just make things worse.

--

Almost an hour passes and I have no fucking clue where I'm at. I pull into some shitty motel and get out of my car, walking into the front doors sounding the bell hung above it.

The lady at the front desk is by far the worst woman I've ever seen. It's very clear she's addicted to some hard drugs, like meth or some shit. I only know that because one of my good friends used to look exactly like her, skinny, pale, nasty ass teeth, too thin of hair, the only difference is he died of overdose and she works in a motel.

"I need a room for one." I tell her and she smacks her teeth at me.

"For how long?" She leans forward and winks at me. I give her a confused look and sigh.

"I don't know. One night."

She does her weird front desk shit and hands me a key.

"Room 35B, if you get lonely I know how to give you a good time." She winks once more and I swear I nearly gag.

"I'll be sure to let my girlfriend know if I get lonely." I turn on my heel and leave this awful lady alone.

--

I go half the day without talking to anyone. I've ignored all texts and calls from anyone and everyone and I've just stared at the ceiling. I went through mine and Tori's texts and even changed her name again. Right as I'm about to lock my phone, a text from her pops down in my notifications, and god damn is it a long message.

From: babe

calum I'm so sorry for upsetting you. you were right I shouldn't have said anything and I should have kept my mouth shut but meeting the monster that ruined you just made me beyond angry and I couldn't control it. what I did was way out of line and I realize that I'm just so fucking worried about you right now. this day already started shitty enough and now i made it worse and I've been crying for like 3 hours idk maybe less but it feels like that long. please just tell me you're okay.

--

I hesitate to text back but decide it'd be the best if I did. She's right, her day is shitty enough and I'm being selfish, something I wish I would've realized before I left her on the day she needed me most.

im fine. i'll be back soon.

As soon as I lock my phone, I push myself off the bed and grab my car keys. I walk into the front office again and hand the same desk lady my room key and she gives me a confused look.

"You didn't even stay all night." She states and I roll my eyes.

"I paid 30 dollars for a shitty room, why would I want to stay?"

Before I even let her answer I walk out and immediately get in my car and make my way back to Victoria.

Victoria's P.O.V

I don't blame Calum for being angry with me, and I'm more than happy he's on his way back but I still can't help but feel guilty for what I did. I just wish I would've thought before I said anything.

Calum and I both have a fucked up past, but his being far more worse. I wish I would've known him when he was going through this hell. I would've done anything and everything to help him. Imagining him being in so much pain and suffering his whole childhood just sends a shiver down my spine. He's the toughest, bravest and strongest guy I know. He's honestly incredible, and I'm mad I didn't know that sooner.

Ashton and Luke had gone somewhere about an hour ago and still haven't came back. Abby and Michael stopped by to see how I was doing but left not even an hour later and didn't give a good reason why, I don't mind though, being alone has given me a lot of time to think about things.

A knock on my front door interrupts my thoughts and I shove myself up from my spot, walking over to the door and opening it to see Calum's tall frame in front of me. His eyes meet with mine and I instantly feel more secure than I have since he left this morning.

"Victoria," he pauses.

"Yes?"

"Please kiss me."

"But wh-"

"Don't question it, just please kiss me. I did a lot of thinking on the way here and I realized you're the only one who has ever cared for me and who has ever believed me and listened to me. You're a literal fucking angel, babe. God damn, I just don't tell you enough. I'm sorry for leaving earlier. I'm just in my head right now, but I just had to get this out. I love you. I love you so fucking much and I just really need to kiss you right now."

I don't hesitate to lock my lips with Calum's after he confesses his feelings. It's by far more passionate than any kiss we've ever shared, and I missed it so much.

I ball my hands in his hair and pull him closer to me, close enough his body can't physically go any farther.

He swiftly picks me up, carrying me over to the couch but not breaking the kiss slightly. He sits us both down and wraps one arm around my back and one rests on top of my bum.

I finally decide its my turn to talk and I pull away, resting my forehead on his.

"I love you, Calum."

"Please be mine again, please." He pleads and I kiss the top of his nose quickly.

"I'm yours."
