Calum's P.O.V
Fuck I have the worst headache. I'm awake but I refuse to open my eyes. What time is it anyway? I lay in my bed, keeping my eyes closed. Finally after what feels like hours, I open my eyes to see it's still dark out. I look over at my clock and see it's 4 in the morning. Hell, how did I get in my room without falling down the stairs? I'm still slightly drunk, the alcohol not completely out of my system yet.
That's when I notice her, Tori is asleep in the bean bag by my closet. Her tiny legs brought close to her chest, her mouth slightly open, and her hair falling over her face. I hear her lightly cough and she stretches out her legs before bringing them back to her chest.
"Tori," I say a little too quietly. "Tori." I repeat louder.
I can't tell if her eyes are open due to the room being so dark, but I hear her yawn. I see her sit up from the bean bag and twist both ways.
"Hey." She says calmly.
"Why are you asleep here?" I furrow my eyebrows, even though she can't see them.
"You were really drunk, and I mean really drunk. I wanted to make sure you didn't like choke on vomit in your sleep. I guess I just fell asleep after some time, I'm sorry." She stands up from her spot and turns on the tiny lamp at the other side of my room.
She cares about me.
I think.
"No, you're fine." I finally say.
"I can go home now, will you be okay?" She asks cauiously.
"Yes, I just have a headache. Fuck, I don't remember shit." I cough in to my hands and sigh.
"Oh." She barely whispers. "You told me something."
Fuck.
"What did I tell you?"
"Um," She pauses to clear her throat. "You told me, uh, you told me what your aunt did to you." She frowns and I feel like my whole world is crashing. No one is supposed to know about that. No one believes me anyway. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. "It's okay, Calum. I can help yo-" I interrupt her.
"Go home." I snap.
Her expression changes from concern, to confussion, to anger, to sadness, all in a matter of seconds. She takes the hair-tie off her wrist and pulls her hair up in to a ponytail before walking over to me. Her tank top is pushed up a little, allowing me to see her stomach. I scan up from her exposed skin to her face. Tiny black smudges are in the corner of her eyes, and certain strands of hair fall out of her ponytail.
"Calum, please let me help you. You're not dealing with this the right way." Her voice pleads and I stay staring at her face. Fuck, I'm creepy.
"I don't need help, Victoria."
She scrunches her nose at the sound of her full name and it almost brings a smile to my face.
"Calu-"
"No, Victoria, I don't need your help. You can't fix me." I finally get up from my bed, standing only inches away from her.
"I can try." She says almost too quietly for me to hear.
I begin to feel dizzy, my head pounding and my chest tightens. I slump back down on to my bed and sigh. Tori's arms are folded loosely at her chest, and it's like I can't keep my eyes off her.
I notice marks, scars even on the inside of her right wrist. What the hell?
