Updating again :) But before I start writing, I wanna answer something I got asked on Tumblr quite a lot, why did I make the boys of 5sos people who smoke/drink in my fanfic.
It's a really simple answer really, in my story they're regular high school guys, people who occasionally break the rules, and do things they shouldn't do. They party, they get together with friends and drink/smoke, they do what every teenager is doing. I wanted to make them seem like the regular boys they are, and not the boys in that band 5 Seconds of Summer, you know?

I'm slightly taken back by Calum's lips being pressed to mine. I don't kiss back, but I don't fight it either. Calum's hand met the small of my back, holding me in my spot. I slowly lift my hand and place it on the back of his neck, pulling him closer, not breaking the kiss the tiniest bit. Eventually, he pulls away and looks me in my eyes once again, and then immediately turns and walks back downstairs.
Something tells me he didn't bring me upstairs to make brownies.
I look around the kitchen, unsure if I should return downstairs with everyone else, or sit in my living room and wait for someone to come find me. Luckily I don't have to make a decision when Luke enters the kitchen, nearly screaming about how hungry he is.
"Hey Tori! I'm starving. What's this?" He pauses and picks up the box of brownie mix. "Are we making brownies?! Those sound delicious right now." He sets the box back on the counter top and leans over to my ear, "Don't tell anyone, but I'm really high right now."
I giggle and hide my face with my hands. I already knew he was high, it was really obvious. I'm unaware if I'm still high, but then again, apparently people can be high for hours, and I only smoked 30 minutes ago.
"Luke, I have a question." I hiccup and he takes a drink of water.
"Hmm?"
"Does smoking make me a bad person?" My voice is full of concern and he sets his glass down and grins.
"Do you think I'm a bad person?" He asks.
"No, but how does tha-" Luke interrupts me.
"If I'm not a bad person for smoking, then neither are you."
I don't speak, I just look him in the eyes and press my lips into a straight line. He gives me a reasuring smile and puts his arm around my shoulder, leading me back downstairs.
I don't want to see Calum, he kissed me literally 5 minutes ago and then left me without another word. Should I still talk to him? Does he have feelings for me? Why am I so paranoid?
My head feels like it's filling with air and it's about to pop, while my legs and arms feel like they're made of clouds and about to float away. Everything is funny, but everything is also scaring me. I feel great, but I also feel like I'm dying. I want to run a marathon, but I also want to sleep forever.
Being high is really confusing.
We reach the bottom of the stairs and Abby is finally awake sitting with Michael and Ashton. I don't see Calum at first, but when I do he's sitting on the other side of the room by himself. I see Luke staring at Calum too, and I give him a look telling him I'm going to go sit by him. Luke nods and removes his arm from my shoulder then makes his way to the rest of the group.
Once I'm by Calum's feet, his head shoots up, giving me a weird look.
"Mind if I sit over here?" I try sounding polite as possible.
"I guess, but I was about to smoke a little more, do you want to join me?" He gives me a smirk and I think before I nod my head yes. I slide down the wall far too close to Calum. Our legs and shoulders are touching, but neither of us bother to move.
I want to bring up the kiss that happened only moments before, but I choose to ignore it. It was probably a mistake, I mean come on, the guy is high as fuck.
Calum passes me the blunt and I gladly take it. I watch as he blows the smoke out of his mouth and leans his head back against the wall behind us. Normally, I think smoking is unattractive, but something about Calum doing it sends a chill through my whole body.
I breathe in as much as I can, and I can feel Calum watching me this time. I open my mouth, smoke quickly coming out, and Calum is still watching. Is he judging me? I turn to meet his eyes and he has a grin on his face.
"Ashton is right, you'd totally be one of those hot stoner girls." He says hardly above a whisper, sending that same fimiliar chill through my body once again.
"It's a little sad how we can only get along when we're high together." I turn away from his gaze and look across the room at everyone else taking shots.
"Then let's get high together more often."
I shrug my shoulders and he hiccups. Why is everyone hiccuping?
Why am I asking so many questions?
Thoughts keep getting jumbled up in my head everytime I try and speak. Even though I feel like sharing my opinion on everything, I can't find the words to say anything. Right now my mind feels like a jigsaw puzzle, and the pieces just won't fit together.
I lean my head against the wall, and before I can stop myself, I'm asleep.
--
When I wake up, everyone is still across the room, clearly drunk, and playing video games. I look at the clock on the wall and I only slept for about 40 minutes, but it felt like 4 hours. I remember falling asleep sitting up, but now I'm laying down. I lift my head up and see Calum is asleep too, and I was asleep on his chest. His arm is loosely hanging from my waist and his chest is rising and falling slowly. I want to jump up and yell at Abby for not waking me up, but I don't want to wake Calum.
I try to remove Calum's arm from my side, only to have him grip tighter. I continue trying to remove his arm, and he finally lets go, flipping on to his side and pulling his knees up to his chest.
I stand up from the spot I was laying in and walk slowly over to Abby while yawning.
"Look who is finally awake! You and Calum were so cute sleeping by each other! You guys should date! Look, I got pictures of it." She quickly pulls out her phone and shows me 4 pictures, the first one Calum and I were both asleep with our heads resting on the wall, the second one my head had fallen onto Calum's shoulder, the third one he was leaning against a dresser with his arm around me and my head still slightly on his shoulder, and the fourth one me and him were on the floor asleep with my head on his chest and his arm around me, like how I woke up.
"It was so cute, when he layed down on the floor, you like, kind of woke up, and I heard him say 'come here,' and then you laid down on his chest. SO cute! My god why aren't you guys dating already?!" She practically squeals. She's very drunk, it's obvious.
I hear a noise behind me followed by Calum whispering the word "fuck." I turn around to see him rubbing his head and standing up from the spot he was asleep in.
"Are you okay?" I giggle and he yawns.
"Yeah, I just hit my head getting up from that spot. I don't even remember falling asleep."
"So you don't remember how you fell asleep, or what you did while you were asleep?" Abby interrupts our conversation.
"No." He quickly snaps then returns his attention to me.
"Dude, you were holding Tori like you were scared she was gonna leave you." Michael says above the loud TV, not letting his eyes leave the game.
Calums eyes go wide then he returns back to his emotionless state.
"Yeah well I was asleep, I have no control over what I do when I'm sleeping" He shrugs and stretches his arms out.
Part of me wants to believe the kiss, and how we fell asleep meant something to him, but the other part of me knows it didn't mean anything at all, and that makes me want to cry.
That's when I know.
I have feelings for Calum.
