Unpredictable: Calum Hood fanfiction

Chapter 17

GUYS I STARTED A LUKE FANFICTION! IF YOU WENT AND READ IT, THAT WOULD MEAN SO MUCH TO ME! :) I'm probably gonna write the first chapter after this is posted, or maybe write it tomorrow!

The next few days pass rather quickly, everyone at school has found out about Calum and I, most people are shocked and a lot of girls are pissed. He doesn't seem phased by it, but it's definitely new to me. I had a good amount of friends before, but ever since everyone found out about us, I've been getting a lot more attention. From guys who I've never spoken to, and girls who stare me down in the halls as I walk to class.

I walk into lunch and walk over to the snack bar, seeing one of my favorite adults handing a soda to a student with a smile.

"Victoria!" She smiles sweetly and I can't help but giggle.

"Hey Mrs. Scott." 

"Apple and water? Or are you deciding to switch it up?" She asks as she picks up an apple and water.

"Keeping it the same, for now." I assure her.

Mrs. Scott has been one of my favorite people ever since I started high school, somehow I ended up always going to her when I had a hard time, and she always checked up on me when she found out about my dads murder. 

"You really should eat more!" A fake scowl sets across her face, then quickly switched to a grin.

"You should see me at my house, I eat like a pig who's been starv-" She opens her mouth to speak so I stop mid-sentence.

"What is this about you and that Calum lad?" She pokes my shoulder and I sigh.

"We started dating about a week ago. He's really sweet when you break down his walls. A lot of girls hate me now because of it, since apparently Calum is the heart throb of the school." I complain and pick the sticker off my apple that's fairly too big for my liking.

"Well, they're just jealous! You got the man they wanted! As long as you're happy, I am okay. Just be careful with him, dear. I've heard some stories about him."

"Don't worry, I will. Bye Mrs. Scott!" I wave bye after handing her my money for the apple and water and make my way to my well known table with Abby, Ashton, Michael, Luke and occasionally Calum. 

Calum likes to think of lunch as his time to get out of school for a little.

"You always talk to that old lady for so long, Tori." Abby takes a sip from her milk and I glare at her till she notices. "What?! You do!"

"Shut the fuck up, you know she's helped me a lot." I utter.

"I know, but it's just weird." 

Already being in a bad mood caused by all the unwanted attention I've been getting, I grab my water, leave the table and head out the cafeteria doors. I never even got to eat my apple.

Abby has been one of my best friends for years now, but she's one of those people who doesn't think before she opens her mouth. I pull my phone out of my pocket and check for any messages from Calum, only seeing one message from my mom that I recieved about 15 minutes ago.

"Are we still up for our mommy daughter date after school? :D"

I cringe at the use of "mommy daughter date" then reply.

"Yeah we are, might go over to Ashtons for about an hour to help him with homework, after that lets go get frozen yogurt." 

I hit send and am stunned with the read receipt that's sent back automatically.

"Mmm love me some yogurt."

"Mum you're so weird." I mumble to myself before bumping into a tall figure. Assuming it's Calum a smile is plastered across my face, but quickly vanishes when I notice who it really is.
