Nung narinig ko bumukas at nagsarado ang pinto ni lobo, pinuntahan ko siya sa kwarto niya. 

"Why are you home late-- oh crap sorry! I didn't know you were changing!" at sinarado ko balik yung pinto habang nakapikit

"I am done!" sigaw niya sa loob. Binuksan ko ulit yung pinto.

"S-sorry about that..." hindi ako tumingin sa kanya at dumeritso sa kama niya, "So where did you go after school today?" tanong ko sabay upo sa ibabaw ng higaan niya

Para akong nanay na tinatanong ang anak niya saan siya nagpupupunta 

I want to know kung ano pinag gagawa nila ni Latina! I know may mga plano siya against me and I want to get to the bottom of it!

Nag kibit balikat lang siya, "I was at the library Nea", sabay ngiti. 

Tinabihan niya ako sa kama niya, napataas ako ng kilay, "Hmm.."

Hindi ako tanga, "Were you alone?" 

Lumapit siya sa higaan at umupo sa tabi ko, "No. There were other students there too" 

Sapakin ko to eh

"Jed you know what I mean", at inirapan ko siya

"I was with-" 

Hindi ko na napigilan ang sarili ko "-Did you eat her brownies?! Myghaaaad Jed! Who knows what she put in it! What if you had an allergic reaction the moment you put those brownies in your mouth huh?! You almost died last night let me remind you! And why is Latina even baking you stuff?!" 

Nakakunot lang ang noo niya, "Latina did not bring them..... It was England. Did you eat them? They were really delicious." tanong niya

What?! Kelan pa nagpapadala ng brownies si England dito?! Bakit naman siya magpapadala? Well, wasn't that nice of her. Baka pinadala ni Lui sa kanya for me pero akala ng lobo na to na para sa kanya

"So Latina did not bake you the brownies? What were you doing with her in the library then?" He looked at me with a frown

"Nea I was alone in the library. Just studying" sagot niya

I looked at him sideways, "Liar" First day niya pa lang ang dami na nakapaligid sa kanya at walang araw na hindi siya nag iisa. Everyone wants to be friends with him. Don't ask me why kasi ako mismo hindi ko alam ano nakita nila sa kanya. 

I'm sure he wasn't alone in the library. Bakit ba ayaw niya sabihin sa'kin? A simple question can be answered with no complications. What he's hiding... I will find out soon. 

"Okay if you say so", sabi ko at tumayo, "Do you want to watch a movie with me?" tanong ko

Thursday ngayon at wala ako sa mood mag aral para sa exam ko bukas.

Tumawa siya, "If I watch with you, you'll study with me after" napataas ako ng kilay

"Wag nalang!" kainis to tsk!

"I don't know what that means but I'll take that as a no" sabi niya habang palabas ako ng kwarto niya

Kinuha ko ang phone ko at dinial ang number ni Lui-- ay wag na pala. Baka magalit pa sakin yun kasi alam niya may exam ako bukas. 

Hay. Guess I'll be watching it alone then.

"Now I understand the title" sabi ni Jedrick habang nakatingin sa sahig

Pinunasan ko ang luha na nahulog sa pisngi ko, "Hmm yeah." 

Kanina habang inaayos ko yung higaan ko para komportable ako sa pag pinanuod ang movie, kumatok siya sa pintuan at sabi I changed my mind. May I still join you?

I don't want him to see me cry-- too late. Tiningnan niya ako at sabi, "I think this is the first time I have seen you cry Nea" 

Tiningnan ko siya ng masama, "I'm not crying!" 

"It is alright my princess. I cried a little too" at natawa siya. Napatawa rin ako. Pinanood kasi namin ang Me Before You. 

"It was selfish of Will" sabi ko at umiyak na ng walang kahiyaan. 

"I do not think it was selfish", sabi naman niya

"What?! It was! If he really loved her he would've stayed!" I argued. 

He shook his head at ngumiti lang. 

Hinintay ko siya magsalita pero nung nakayuko lang siya nagsalita na ako, "What? Tell me what you're thinking"

Tiningnan niya ako, "... He did not love her" 

I frowned, "Exactly... from my point of view, how could he stand leaving the girl he loves alone?... wait what? Paano mo nasabi?-- It means, what made you say that"

He smiled faintly, "He loved her enough to leave her Nea. That means he loved his more than he loved her. Basically he doesn't whole heartedly loves her" 

"What do you mean?" tumigil ako sa paghinga ng punasan niya ang pisngi ko 

"If he stayed that would be selfish. You see, I believe that before you love someone else, you have to fully love yourself first. If he stayed, that means he's doing it because he feels sorry for her. But he would still hate himself everyday. That is unfair don't you think? The love he has for her is not enough does not cover up his growing hatred on himself. As the hatred grows, love disappears in the background."

Napayuko ako. Damn. 

Ang deep.

Hindi ako makapaniwala na lumabas ang mga yun sa bibig niya. I mean oo matalino siya at maraming wisdom (based on how long I got to know him) but I didn't think na pati sa love marami siyang alam. 

"The book is definitely better than the movie. Did you finish reading it?"

Tumayo ako para kunin ang remote, "Nope" pinatay ako ang Blu-ray player at nilipat ang channel sa tv

"You did not start reading it...." sabi niya sa sarili

Binilhan niya kasi ako nung libro at alam niyo naman na I vowed not to touch or read any books again after they cancel my engagement with him

"I don't have the time..." 

Pero sa totoo lang, sobrang gusto ko basahin ang libro kasi I'm the type that wants to read the book first then watch its movie.

"Nea, we have an exam tomorrow so I think this needs to be turned off", sabi niya sabay kuha sa remote na hawak hawak ko

"Hoy! Balik mo sa'kin yan! And what do you mean we have an exam tomorrow? You're not even in my class!" 

"Yes but I have an exam for my class too! Fine. If you don't study for your exam then I will not study for mines." at binalik niya sakin ang remote

"Tssk"

Nakatayo lang siya dun at nakatingin sa'kin, "I don't believe you. Plus, even if you don't study, you will still do good on it because you're smart" 

He shook his head, "There are only a few people who were born smart, princess. I am not one of them" sabi niya at ngumiti ng slight

"I will be off to bed now. Goodnight Nea", paalam niya bago lumabas ng kwarto ko
