I sigh, starring at my reflection of the mirror. The dress was fitting, defining my curves almost perfectly. I had settled with just wearing my VANs because honestly, if Liam think's i'd 'fancy' that much up for him he has no idea. I check my purse for what seemed like the millionth time; reassuring that i had all my needed items.

I walk back into my room, grabbing a light sweater considering i had no idea where Liam was planning on taking us. For all i know we could be going to Mexico, and i wouldn't know if it's cold or hot there. "Liam - wow you look dandy, she'll be down in a minute." i heard Jessie say followed by a loud, "LIAM'S HERE!"

i grunt, rushing downstairs. "beautiful" he mumbles as i walk by, cheeky grin plastered across his face. i spin around, bowing slightly before muttering a small 'thank you'. He glances down to my shoes, cocking an eyebrow which i reply with a shrug.

I sigh as we reach the lobby, quickly walking out of the elevator. "Ira!" Joe calls, rushing over to me. "My wife has the books you asked about, she was wondering when you'd like them" he says giving me a warm smile. "Well when ever would be fine - she doesn't have to but if she would to-tomorrow" i reply, grunting slightly as Liam throws his arm around my shoulders; pulling me tightly into his side. Joe nods, cocking an eyebrow towards Liam's sudden action. "date night, is it?" Joe coos, wriggling his eye brows. i shoot him a glare, but before i can retort Liam beats me to it. "yes, if you wouldn't mind - we have to be some where." and with that Joe moved aside, allowing Liam to guide my towards the exit.

"Wait here for a second?" He asks as we stepped outside. I nod slowly, cocking an eyebrow as he runs around the building.

For some reason i expected a pumpkin carriage - don't ask why, i just did. But what pulled in front of me was definitely not a pumpkin carriage, but the next best thing. From the looks of it, it was an  Audi TT; i remember my brother always talked about buying one some day.

"ready love?" Liam whispers into my ear, causing me to shiver slightly. he had already put the car in park and opened my door, waiting for me to hop in. i blink a few times, bringing myself back to reality before jumping in.

i glanced around the inside, 'awing' at the multiple buttons. Liam chuckled before closing his door, and driving off. "you like what you see?" Liam asked, glancing quickly at me. "It's beautiful" i reply, a bit dazed. "why thank you." he smirked, stopping at a red light. i turn to him, raising an eyebrow. "i was talking about the car" i retort as he lets out another chuckle. "so was i" i grunt, rolling my eyes. There was something about Liam Payne that just drove me crazy; the type of crazy where you'd slam him against the wall and strangle him - but most likely if anything, it'd be the other way around.   "Is there something on my face?" he asked, realization that i was still starring at him. I shake my head, turning to look at the near by surroundings. None of this looked familiar, the buildings were much to small with small windows and - where the hell are we?

**

"i hope you don't mind," Liam mumbles, opening my side door. "I decided to take you a little far out for dinner." he smirked, guiding me inside a small restaurant.

The waiter smiles warmly at us, motioning us to a table in the far back. The restaurant was pretty vacant, the occasional person seated alone in a booth starring at the empty seat in front of them. There was one old man that particularly caught my eye, appearing to be on the verge of tears. I had the urge to go and sit next to the man, accompany him till a smile replaced his frown; but the thought was quickly pushed aside as i felt a hand on my knee.

I turn to a smirking Liam, starring intensively at the menu. "I don't find men with one hand a turn on." i frown, glancing down at his hand. "so i really suggest you don't do anything you might regret." i warn, causing Liam to chuckle. Before Liam can say a cheeky remark the waiter comes back, bright smile fading slightly as she turns to me.

"I know what Liam wants, and for you miss?" oh so Liam's been before, perhaps often. I glance down at the untouched menu, quickly spotting something that caught my eye. "Can i have a slice of chocolate cake? thank you." i say, handing her the menu. She raises an eyebrow at me before glancing at Liam and walking away.

"chocolate cake?" Liam asked, confusion written all over his face. I shrug, folding my arms across my chest. "If i'm going to be all but forced onto a date with Liam Payne, i think i'm getting a slice of cake." You shrug, trying hard to hide your smile as Liam nods, letting out a small chuckle.

"So you come here often?" I ask, sipping from my water. "I used to come here all the time with my family, I'm surprised they even remember me" Liam chuckles, leaning back in his seat. "What about you, how is your family dealing with separation issues?" Liam chuckled.

I bit my bottom lip, smile quickly replaced by a small frown. "I don't think so - family isn't really a subject i like to talk about so.." I trailed off, the set of utensils soon becoming very interesting. "I'm sorry, i just mean because uni and-" i shake my head, giving him a quick reassuring smile. "Its okay, really" he nods, about to say something as the waiter comes back; chocolate cake in hand.   "Here you go." She smiles, placing the plate in front of me. "And for you, Liam" she smiles, placing a plate of spaghetti in front of him. I struggle to hold back a laugh, causing Liam to grunt; mumbling a quick "thank you" to the waiter.

"I was a kid that last time i was here, okay." He grunts, grabbing his fork and twisting the spaghetti around it. I smile, grabbing my fork as well.

I glance to the old man in the booth, his face pale at he stares at the empty seat in front of him. I look down at my cake, grabbing it and standing up.

"What are you doing?" Liam asks, grabbing my shoulder in an attempt to keep me in place. I shrug it off, walking towards the man.

"I hope you like chocolate cake." I whisper, placing the cake in front of the man. He looks up shocked, frown soon replaced with a small smile as i take a seat.  "I love chocolate cake, but only when it's shared with a beautiful young lady." I smile, grabbing my fork.

"I'm Ira by the way." I say, halfway through the slice of cake. "Bert." He nods as we exchange a quick smile. I glance at Liam, who happened to still be half shocked. "Liam, huh?" He old man asks, nudging his head towards Liam. He sets down his fork, wiping the side of his lips with a napkin. "He's a good lad, under that not-so tough exterior." Bert chuckles, smiling warmly at me.

"Ira?" Liam asks, hands in his pockets as he approaches our table. Bert stands, glancing at Liam before turning back to me. "Thank you, Ira, but i really must be going" I nod, grabbing the last piece of cake as Bert whispered something into Liam's ear.

"She's a keeper. Don't fuck it up like i did, Liam."

"I'm trying not to."
