The Portal

Katelyn's POV

I sat in Garroth's home. We talked it out but it didn't go good.
"Katelyn... I was lonely.. I still have a place for you in my heart but. I can't leave Kiki." he says. I look down at the ground.
"15 years for you. A week for me. It hurts just because of this time jump. I want to go back to the way it was. You and me." I say. Then an idea pops into my mind.
"Im sorry. Katelyn but we can't be together. You need to move on." he says. I nod and get up from the table and leave. I had an idea. I walk to the gates Dante stood there.
"Hey open the gate please!" I call up. He opens the gate. I walk out.
"Where are you going?" he calls down. I look over toward the barn.
"To see Sasha.'' I say its a lie. He nods. I start running. I run past the guard station. I get to the bridge. It was broken. I run and jump across. I walk up to the big hole in the wall. I look back no one was following. I climb threw. I start running to where the barrier thing was.

Aaron's POV (rarely happening Idk)

I follow Katelyn. Well not sure if you wanna call it that. I follow her but she couldn't see me. I hide behind a tree as she turns around. We've been walk threw the woods all day. She turns away I continue following her.

+-2 hours later-+

She stops in front of of the barrier. I've investigated this it was really a active portal that can destroy time.
"Ok... If I just walk threw I can see Garroth again. Right?" she asks herself. What I was about to do I was gonna regret.
"No that isn't right." I say walking out of the trees. I stood a couple feet in front of her.
"How is it not right?" she asks facing me. I point to the portal.
"This portal will destroy time. You could go back threw but you are most likely going to be adding another 30years to everyone's life. You have a chance of going back but most likely not. I wouldn't do this. You have family and friends here. People who love you.." I say. She shakes her head.
"The one I loved has moved on." she says. I nod.
"You have to understand. He was alone for all these years. He stills has a place for you in your heart. It may seem like a week for you. But 15 years for him. You got to understand. He was lonely." I say. Something changed in her. Either she snapped and was about to go in the portal. Or realized she can't change time. She turns to the portal. She walks to it. "Katelyn!'' I yell. I run and grab her arm and pull her away. The portal starts to pull us back. I pull her more. We break free. We run and hide behind a tree.
"Be quiet.." I say. I heard footsteps. We sit in silence. "If you went back threw the portal... You would have died... You realized the demon. We need to hide better until it goes back in." I whisper. She nods. I look up. I point to the branch. She climbs up the tree and hides. The footsteps get over to the tree. Then stop. I freeze. I look up at Katelyn. What ever I did next could be life or death. The demon starts walking around. I jump and grab the branch. He walks around and looks around he turns in circles. I hung there I hook my legs to the branch. I stay still and don't breathe. He walks away. I swing down he walks back into the portal. I fall on the ground and breathe. Katelyn looked down at me.
"What was that!?" she shouts. I grin and stand up. I help her down.
"Don't do that again! You could have gotten us killed!" I shout. The mad drains from her face. She started to look sad.
"Im sorry...." she says looking down.
"Don't go threw that portal! Got it!?" I shout. I was mad but I needed to know she understood. She nods.
"Come on let's head back," she nods and looks at me. "Im sorry for yelling." I say. She nods. I start walking she follows.

Laurence's POV

It was now 9 I sat in my bed starring at the ceiling. James was in Aphmau's room helping her. She not only was sick she got an infection in her arm. I hear the door shut. James walks into my room. He sighs.
"I think I got that infection under control. If she gets more sick come get me." he says. I nod. He smiles and walks out. I get up and walk to Aphmau's room. I open it slightly she lay there facing away from the door. She had a wrap on her arm. I close the door and go to the couch and sit. I look into the flames. I hear the door upstairs open. It must have been Aaron and Katelyn. I hear two doors slam shut. I get up and walk upstairs. I look into Vylad room. He lay asleep. I walk up the steps. I knock on Katelyn's door.
"What do you want Laurence?" she asks. I didn't really know.
"You ok?" I ask. I hear a sigh.
"Just leave me alone." she says. I nod and knock on Aaron's door.
"Come in." he says. I open the door he sat on his bed. I walk and sit in the chair.
"What was that?" I ask. He shrugs.
"In short terms we almost died." he says chuckling. I stare.
"How?" I ask. He chuckles.
"That's a story for later. Im gonna turn in. Head to bed." he says. I grin and get up and head back downstairs.

Aphmau's POV

I sat lay in bed. Stareing at the wall. It was only 3 hours ago James left. I didn't feel better. I need someone. I throw the covers off me and get out of bed. The clock said 12am. I go to the door and open it. The fire was dull. Someone lay on the couch. It was Laurence. I walk over. I pull out part of the couch so it turned into a bed. I lay next to him and pull the blanket over me. He stirs and opens his eyes slowly.
"Morning all ready?" he asks his voice was soft. I shake my head.
"No... I couldn't sleep.." I say. He nods. He lays down more. He lays on his side and faces me.
"Why?" he asks looking at me. I look at him and turn on my side to face him.
"The pain in my arm, and I just don't feel safe. I guess when I sleep in my room. I feel like im always getting taken care of. I feel better when im sleeping with you. I don't have nightmares then." I say softly. He nods.
"Well im always here. If you wanna curl up by me at night just go ahead.'' he says softly his voice quiet. I nod. He pulls me closer to him. I lay my head against his chest. His heart beating.
"Get some sleep." he whispers in my ear. I close my eyes. He lays an arm around my waist. I listen to his heart beat and the fire. I soon....
