*A few days after*
Alexa's P. O. V
Lately Liam has been more distant and short-tempered and it bugs me big time. He won't tell me what's wrong and would just yell at me. Lance told me it wasn't good for me to be so stressed and recommended I move back in with Kane. I didn't and now I have to argue with Liam daily.
I honesty don't want to be in the same house as him anymore but Kane doesn't want Jake near me.
Liam also doesn't allow me to even step near the pack house since the King nor Princes have left. Joe left after the ceremony and took Kyle with him. I still have the rings hidden in my drawer, where no one will find them.

Briar and Jason broke off their engagement since Jason couldn't handle being with Briar, who I was still not on good terms. Elle, Kaye, Bren, and I would often go into town to get away from the pack. We would shop or eat at the restaurants. Kane and I would venture into the city and spend hours just having fun, until Liam would call saying I needed to be home soon.
Liam was becoming too possessive too quick. Echo once again started ignoring me and I truly blame Liam for it. If only he were like his brother, then maybe, things would be different.

"You need to fix this now Alexa!" Liam yells at me for the tenth time. "How Liam! How can I force Jake to accept it!" I yell back and get up. "I'm done." I mutter and open the front door. Ghost follows at my heels and Zan stays in the corner. I hear Liam behind me and I walk faster. I go into the pack house and head straight to Kaye's room. I open her door and find her painting her nails. "Hey." She says, not looking up. "Hey." I say and lock the door. I lay down behind her and shut my eyes. "What happened this time?" She asks. "Do all guys get this possessive and dominant when their mate's pregnant or is it just him?" I ask and stare up at the ceiling. "I don't know. He's just really possessive of you, so I don't know the answer to this one." She says and lays down beside me. I drape my arm over my eyes and groan. "This baby's going to be the death of me." I sigh and she hits my arm. "Don't say that!" She yells and I groan again. "It is. Or maybe Liam is." I say and she shakes her head. "He told you he wanted to be the father. He and his wolf know you as his mate. They only want to keep you protected." She says and I shake my head. "He's been yelling at me for Jake to accept it. Accept what, I don't know." I say and I move my arm from my face. "Liam wants you to make Jake accept that maybe he has a part in the kid. Jake did try to deny it." She says and I rub my temple. "Liam doesn't even let me come see anyone anymore since Jake is still here. I can't come talk to you, Elle, Bren, or Kane except over the phone or link. And when we go out, he sends me a text or calls saying I need to come home." I say and hear a knock on the door. Kaye gets up and opens it. Jake walks straight to me and gets on his knees on the floor, something a Royal never does. "I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. I want to be in its life, I do. I honestly really do." He says and I look at Kaye. She nods and leaves but makes sure the lock is there. "It's okay Jake. You don't have to be in its life." I say and he shakes his head. "I heard what you two were talking about. Liam shouldn't be yelling at you. And I have accepted it." He says and I hold my head in my hands. "I'll challenge and fight Liam for you." He says and I look at him. "Why would you?" I ask and he looks down, "I want to make things right. I don't want the kid knowing I don't want anything to do with it." "What if it's not yours?" I say. "Then I'll back off." He says. "Well, I get the results in another two days. We'll see then if you have any part in my pup." I say and he nods. He gets up and places something in my hand. "If I do, here's something you can give them." I open my hand a see a beautifully carved gold bracelet. "I can't take this." I say, handing it back to him. "You will. It's called a gift." He says, closing my hand over it. The corners of my mouth tilt up and I look at him through lowered lashes. His eyes shine with something and he turns to leave. The door closes behind him and I look down at the flooring. I hear someone approaching and I remain in the same position as I was in.
The door opens again and Liam walks in. "Why did Jake leave this room?" He asks, a growl tinting his words. I ignore him and keep my hand tightened around the bracelet. "What is that?" He growls. "Nothing." I growl back and he grabs my chin. "Don't you dare lie to me." He snarls and my eyes turn black. "Get your hands off of me." I snarl and he backs up. I don't shift and I stalk off. He doesn't follow and I go straight to Jason.
"Hey, Alexa. What do you need?" Jason asks as I sit beside him. "What's wrong with Liam?" I answer. "It's Jake. He rubs him the wrong way." He replies and I groan. "Jake's done nothing wrong. He isn't the one yelling at me 24/7, he's not the one Lance told me to get away from. No it's all Liam." I say and I look up. "Really? Lance told you to get away from me?" Liam asks and I nod. "He said you're stressing me out too much and it's bad for the pup." I say and he looks away. I feel a sharp pain in my stomach and I place my hands on it. It gets worse and I fall forward. "Alexa!" Liam yells and helps me back up. "What's wrong?" He asks and I shake my head. "I'll call Lance." Jason says and scrambles up. I pant and Liam rubs my back. "It's okay." He says and I nod. I slide my legs closer to my body, and feel a slickness. "No." I whisper and my vision blackens. "Alexa!" I hear Liam yell and I let the blackness take me.
