Chapter 31

"I told you to stay away from me!"

This should have been the other way around. Teya knew it when she had started to chase him. This wasn't right but she was still doing it. Some good part of her, the part that didn't believe rogues were bad longed to reach him. She quickly stomped down on that part. Hate was still in her heart and she wanted to hurt him.

That didn't explain why she was running through all the hallways and jumping over fellow rogue's shoulders. He was too nimble and quick. He could easily dart past through the tiniest of gaps while Teya didn't have that talent; she had to resort to other measures. Shoulder leaping. It was similar to leap frog only everyone was standing up and walking.

Teya could hear their shouts of protest erupt from behind her like a volcano spewing lava but those volcanoes couldn't turn back against the walking mass. They all headed in one direction to the eating hall. They wouldn't be able to catch her.

"Stop!" Teya growled under her breath. Why was he running so fast away from her anyway? Sure she wanted to rip his heart out but not at this instance. Maybe he didn't know that.

"Stay away!" The ferocious growl roared in Teya's face. He had stopped moving when they had entered an empty room. Teya's feet gracefully glided across the floor. She wasn't scared of him but he had a murderous look on his face. She'd be feeling a different emotion if his face hadn't looked half bruised and half red. It trailed from his temples and soaked through the right shoulder of his shirt.

"No I'm not. You're hurt really badly."

"No sh*t." He cursed lightly but crouched down into a fighting stance. Teya stepped back in surprise. His face held utter seriousness but Teya knew he was in no shape to fight anyone.

"Look at yourself for a minute. You need to get cleaned up." Teya tried her best to reason with him. Even if he was her arch nemesis, what she had just witnessed had sent her inner thoughts into turmoil. Nothing seemed correct anymore. The lines between right and wrong were blurring together.

"That's not why you followed me."

"Fine... I'll leave if that's what you want." Teya sniped icily, hoping he would object and get her to stay. She wanted an explanation but if he was trying to knock her out, the mystery wouldn't unravel itself. That was it. Curiosity. The logic behind the chase.

"Go ahead." He gestured to the door which Teya took slow steps towards. She was trying to get him to question her out of curiosity but it clearly had no effect. He lounged himself on the ground waiting for the werewolf healing to slowly clear away the bruises.

"Ugh fine... You got me... I wanted to ask some questions." Teya couldn't help herself and returned back into the room.

"You're not going to try and kill me are you?" He perked himself up on his arms to watch her movements.

"Not yet." Teya murmured and plopped herself comfortable on her haunches. The concrete floor was incredibly hard and chilly. That certain aspect managed to penetrate through the thin material of her shorts and soon her bottom would become numb. He lay sprawled out like a starfish, the bitterness of the room didn't faze him. The empty hollowness of the room with no windows, just bare walls and floor expanded out and consumed the place. The shadows loomed from the corners and hugged the walls. They controlled this place and them alone.

"Great... I'll live to see another day with you in it." Finn rested himself back down, past caring whether her intentions were honest or demonic.
