"So, tell me, Kelly.", Lins said, staring at me with interest. "Do you find my brother hot?"

I stared at her. "Uh, I thought mates were supposed to find each other hot.", I said slowly.

"Nah, not all the time.", Ky said. "There are some arrogant jerks who reject their nerdy and quiet mates and end up fucking other women."

I nodded my head, wondering if Kade was one of those men, but just playing with my heart."

"I know you must be wondering if Kade is one of them.", Lins sighed. "Well, I'll tell ya. He's not. He's still a virgin, as I've told you when I mistook you for one of his followers."

I nodded, blushing at the thought of when Lins caught us in the moment and mistook me for a slut. I quickly turned away and pretended to be interested with the classical painting on the wall.

"Either you're blushing, or engrossed with that painting, and I'll tell ya, that thing is hella boring.", Ky said to me.

I turned to her, laughing. "Gee, you think?" I said sarcastically. "This painting must be older than my grandma." It truly must've been. It looked kind of frail and fragile.

Ky rolled her eyes. "You were so blushing.", she stated.

Lins chuckled. "Yup, sorry about that back there.", she apologized again.

I turned to her. "C'mon, I want watch TV.", I said. "I haven't seen one of those things, for what, 10 years?"

Both Ky and Lins' eyes widened in shock, as if what I just said confirmed that I shouldn't be living. As if I was a ghost. "Are you effing serious?!", Lins screamed.

"How are you still alive?!", Ky added.

I rolled my eyes. "One can live without those.", I said.

"I can't!", Ky exclaimed. "I'd rather die than be separated with the love of my life!"

"A.k.a., television.", Lins added.

"Well, let's go now!", I urged, pushing the sisters ahead of me. I followed them through the hallways, making sure to stay close to either one of them.

Finally, we made it to the living room in which I had run into the pack Beta. There were 3 people in there, all men. One guy looked up at us, his golden brown eyes glinting mischievously. He was hot, his abs showing from beneath his shirt. He smirked when he saw me.

"Human, eh?", he asked, looking me up and down.

"Leave her alone, bitch.", Ky growled at the boy, who ran his hand through his light blonde hair to make it look messy. He scowled at Ky. "Fuck off, Kyley.", he growled back, staring at her with disgust.

"No, you fuck off.", Lins broke into the conversation. "Do you know who she is?! She's your future Luna, so run your mouth one more time and see what happens."

The two other boys were listening in, chuckling to themselves. "Listen, I'm not interested, nor will I ever be.", I said to the guy. "I'm Kade's."

"She's not available, Rick.", Ky said. "So stop being such and man who're and give up."

The man, Rick, huffed before getting up and walking to the doorway. He didn't leave, not without sending a wink my way. Then he disappeared through the doorway.
